Sakuya's P. O. V:
I lie on my back with my arms folded behind my head and one knee crossed over the other in the forest clearing while wearing my casual outfit, Homura curled up beside me while Kin is grazing nearby.
I hear birds chirping overhead.
I went for a morning ride before meeting up with my team this morning. I've been out for about two hours, since six am.
When I do go out for rides before team meetups, sometimes I'm a bit late, but nowhere as late as Kakashi is, from what Naruto and Sakura have complained about. Which four hours, usually.
So my Sensei and Ren aren't that mad when I'm a bit late.
I let out a sigh, wondering how my friends and family are doing back in the Land of Blossoms.
"I miss them all," I think sadly, feeling homesick all of a sudden.
I lie there for another twenty minutes before push myself to my feet.
I say to Homura, "Well, I guess it's time to head back, girl."
She meows as she stretches before I place Homura in front of the saddle, then mount Kin. I kick him into a leisurely canter back to the Hidden Leaf Village.
We get there in half an hour but before I could go any further, a voice calls out to me:
"Hey, slow down, Sakuya!" I pull my horse to a halt and turn to Izumo and Kotetsu. It was Izumo who'd called out to me. He holds up a clipboard while smiling. "We've gotta sign you back in, remember?"
I say apologetically as I go up to them, "Oh, right. Sorry. I was just lost in thought."
Izumo writes something on the clipboard as Kotetsu asks, "How was your ride?"
"Relaxing," I respond. "It's good to get out of the village every now and then for a ride, and not ninja duties."
Kotetsu nods his head in agreement.
"You're all signed in," Izumo informs me.
"Thanks," I say, starting to leave.
"Oh, and by the way," Kotetsu says, "Hokage-sama has called you in for a mission with the other Genin."
I blink my eyes a couple of times as I say, "Really? Oh, well, I guess I'll head there right away then. See you guys later!"
I wave to the two Chunin and they call goodbye before I trot off to the Hokage tower. I arrive and tie Kin up outside before Homura and I head up the stairs.
Reaching the office door, I knock.
"Enter," Calls Tsunade. I step inside to find the other Genin teams and their Sensei's already there.
