Chapter 87

Sakuya's P. O. V:

I finish feeding Kin his hay the next morning when Kakashi suddenly approaches me. My parents had left for the Land of Blossoms early this morning, but I got up to say goodbye to them.

"Hey, I just got a message for you from Tsunade-sama," Kakashi informs me as I stroke the palomino's neck.

"Oh? What does she want?" I question.

"She wants you in her office for a mission right away," He tells me.

"Okay. I'm on my way," I say before I kiss Kin's forehead and slip through the fence with Homura. I grab my katana from my bedroom and strap it to my back and the dagger that Kyo got me to my right thigh, as I'm left handed, and my new crystal kunai Ren gave me for my birthday is in my weapons pouch.

After putting my headband around my neck, I grab the two slices of cake and leave the house with Homura and soon arrive at Tsunade's office door. I knock and she calls for me to enter.

I walk in to find Kyo and Ren already there.

"Hey, guys! Oh, Tsunade-sama, I saved these for you and Shizune last night," I say as I go up to the desk. Tsunade looks a bit surprised when I put the two plates with chocolate cake on the desk.

"That's very nice of you, Sakuya," Shizune says, smiling politely.

Tsunade smiles as she says, "Thank you. I'll have mine later. How was the party?"

I grin as I say, "It was great! I was really happy I got to see my parents."

She smiles at me once more. "I'm glad you had a good night. Now, about your mission..." I go to stand beside Ren. "There's a group of rogue ninja causing trouble not too far from Konoha. You're to go and take them out."

"Got it," We say before being dismissed.

We head for the gate before we take off into the trees for the rogue ninja's hideout.

We crouch behind some bushes as we gaze at the rogues sitting in a clearing. There were nearly twenty of them, from the looks of it.

"There they are. Let's get 'em!!" Ren says eagerly and goes to attack, but I grab the back of his shirt and pull him back.

"Hold it!" I hiss, as he cries out softly and lands on his back.

"What was that for?!" The Takahashi demands as he sits back up.

"There's too many of them. We can't just rush in there without some sort of strategy," I point out.

"Idiot," Kyo mutters, making Ren scowl.

"Fine. What do you have in mind?" Ren grumbles.

I give them my plan before we send Homura into the camp in her kitten form, while the rest of us hang back.

"Huh? What's this? A cat?" One of the men with white hair asks. He has a sword strapped to his waist.

"Look, it's got two tails," Another points out, pointing at the nekomata.

"Ain't never seen a cat with two tails before. Maybe it's worth something?" Says a third.

"Hey, boss! We should take it to the Black Market," Says another rogue. "It might fetch a high price."

The white haired man ponders this for a moment before saying, "Sounds good. Grab it." He has bright green eyes.

The other rogues dive onto Homura, but then she transforms with a flare of fire, making the men cry out as they're thrown back.

"The hell?!" The white haired man demands as he jumps to his feet, unsheathing his sword. Homura growls, tails flicking.

"Now," I tell my teammates before we leap out from the bushes, with me leaping upwards, flowing chakra into my fist.

"Crystal Style: The God's Crossing Jutsu," Says Ren. He slams his hand on the ground and a row of crystal spikes shoot towards a few men. They impale one but the others dodge, only to be met with Kyo's sword. They clash their weapons against one another.

I give a cry of exertion as I come down with chakra in my fist. The white haired, blue eyed man jerks his head up and frowns before leaping backwards, just in time to avoid my fist as it connects with the earth.

Some of his men weren't so lucky and they get caught in the shockwave. They cry out as they're thrown back. I straighten as the white haired man addresses me.

"Who are you?"

"Sakuya Fujikami," I reply as I face him. "Here to bring you to justice!"

The man sneers as he says, "I don't think so! No one has captured Shiro Fuguki of the Ice Release yet!" He then unsheathes his sword and I get into a ready stance. "Ice Release: Frozen Dragon Jutsu!"

Putting his hands in the Tiger sign, Shiro swings his sword and water swirls out from it before forming into a dragon made of ice.

It roars before lunging towards me.

I dodge its first attack and it slams into the ground before pursuing me once again.

I do a set of hand signs and focus my Petal Style chakra. "Petal Release: Petal Current." I thrust my arm forward a massive stream of petals shoots for the ice dragon. Both Jutsus collide and the ice dragon hits the floor before I cut through it with Saki Kiri, my katana.

I do my signature spin where I spin my sword in one hand, then the other before catching it in my left hand, and clash it against Shiro's. There's loud clang and we exchange a few slashes before I aim for his side, causing Shiro to cut himself.

I aim for him once again but Shiro blocks it and gets a safe distance from me.

"I'll admit, Fujikami Princess, you are good," The green eyed male compliments before brandishing his weapon. "But not good enough."

I retort as I spin my sword in one hand, then the other before catching it in my left once again, "Don't you know not to underestimate your opponents? That'll be your last mistake!"

Shiro and I stare each other down for a long moment.
