Chapter 99

Sakuya's P. O. V:

We stand before the red haired Mizukage in her office after we'd treated everyone's wounds.

"I'm pleased that those rogue ninja have finally been captured and that Kazumi's Tide Jewels are safe," Says Mei Terumi. "I must thank you Leaf ninja for your assistance."

I say modestly, "It was nothing, really. We were glad to help!"

Mei smiles. "I'll give the report to Tsunade. Have a safe journey back home."

"We will. Thanks," Says Kiba. We bow in slight respect before leaving her office, Kazumi's team showing us to the gate.

"Thanks again for your help. We couldn't have done it without you," The Mizuhara says as we stop at the gate.

"Don't mention it," I say with a dismissive wave. We smile at each other before hugging one another.

"Come back anytime!" She says.

"You bet!" I say as my teammates say goodbye to Heiwa and Hiro.

We call goodbye as we head back to the Hidden Leaf Village.

"It'll be good to be home again!" Says Ren.

"Yeah," Kiba agrees, nodding. "That was some mission."

We soon return home and Tsunade was pleased with our mission report.

"Both the Mizukage and I are pleased with the outcome of your mission," Says the blonde woman. "Well done. You're on standby till your next mission."

We thank her before leaving and going home, the sun already setting.

"Hey, how was your mission?" Kakashi asks as Homura and I enter the apartment.

I smile as I reply, "A success. We also get to see Kazumi, Hiro and Heiwa again."

"The Genin from your first Land of Water mission with the Red Mermaid Pirates?" Says the silverette. I nod my head. "Interesting. I'll be making dinner soon."

"Okay," I say as I grab a packet of barbecue chips and a ramune (a type of soda), and go eat as I watch tv in the living room, Homura curled up next to me.

I was practising my Moon's Pull Jutsu when a voice calls, "Hey, guys!"

Kyo and Ren were sparring a week after our mission to the Land of Water. We pause and turn to see Naruto racing towards us, a backpack on his shoulders.

"Hey, Naruto-kun," I greet. "Where are you off to?"

"I'm going to train with the Pervy Sage!" He responds, much to our surprise.

"Who now?" Ren asks with a tilt of his head.

"He means Jiraiya-sama," I clarify.

"Oh!"

"When are you leaving?" I ask, feeling sad that my best friend was leaving.

"Right this minute! Oh, and Grandma Tsunade wants to see you, Sakuya-chan," Naruto responds, making me blink as I drop the water.

"She does?"

"Yeah!" He nods before coming over and hugging me. I return it. "When I get back, you'd better be stronger, okay?"

I chuckle as we pull back and agree, "Alright. We'll see which of us is stronger when you get back. Good luck, Naruto-kun!" He grins and laughs before running off to meet with the Legendary Sannin. "I'd better go see what Tsunade wants."

Homura follows me as we head for the Hokage tower and to stand before the desk.

"I received a letter from your parents and they want you to return to the Land of Blossoms for training," Tsunade explains to me.

"They do? I had no plans to go back home," I say. "But I guess it'll help me master more of my Kekkei Genkai. And my Healing Touch Jutsu."

"You leave in about half an hour. I'll have Kakashi escort you there," Tsunade says before I take my leave.

I finish packing when there's a knock on my door. "You ready to go?" Kakashi asks as he pokes his head in my room.

I nod. "Yeah. There's just something I've got to take care of first," I tell him. "Could you get Kin and the other cats for me?" He nods before I put my bag over my shoulders and rush out t search for my teammates.

I find them still training and say goodbye to Ren and Kyo. They were both upset that I was leaving though Kyo doesn't show it as much as Ren. I was able to find Hotaru after that and she said she'd miss me a lot, and we hugged.

I then go to find my boyfriend to say goodbye. I find him training with Hinata and Shino.

"Sakuya-chan!" Kiba greets happily after having knocked Shino down. "Whatcha doing here?"

"What?! You're leaving?!" Kiba exclaims once I finish telling him that I was going home to continue my training.

"I am," I confirm.

"For how long?" Kiba asks.

"I don't know. A year or two? Not that long," I answer with a shrug. Kiba pouts.

"It is that long to me."

"I promise I'll definitely be back."

I lean in and press my lips to his. He returns it immediately and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me in to deepen the kiss.

We soon pull back and gaze at one another.

"Come back soon?" Kiba pleads.

I nod aside smile. "Definitely."

I kiss him once more before I pull away and start for the main gate. I wave back to Kiba as he calls goodbye. I find Kakashi waiting at the gate with my horse and three cars in carry bags.

"Shall we go?" He asks.

I nod. I then notice Sakura standing by. "Hey, Pinky."

"I heard you were leaving and wanted to see you off." She then hugs me.

"Thanks, Sakura! You get stronger too, okay?" I tell her, making Sakura chuckle.

"I will. Good luck."

We pull away before I follow Kakashi out of the village, back to my homeland in the Land of Blossoms.
