Chapter 16

Sakuya's P. O. V:

My teammates and I enter room 301 only to stop and gape at the amount of people in here. There were way more Chunin Exam candidates than I would've thought.

I start to feel nervous as Ren gulps, "Gee, I had no idea there'd be this many people participating in the Chunin Exams."

"It seems ninja from all over come for these Exams," I say nervously. Homura meows wearily.

"Try not to let it bother you," Says Kyo.

"Hey, you guys! You're here!" We look to see Kiba coming up to us with Akamaru on his head.

I grin, feeling more relaxed at the sight of the Inuzuka, as I say, "Kiba-kun! You're here for the Chunin Exams, too?"

He nods as he replies, "Yup! I'm glad you could make it, Princess."

I still feel like I'm being stared intensely and look to see all eyes are on me. I ask in a quiet tone, "Um... why is everyone staring at me?"

Ren notices and shrugs, "Probably 'cause you're the Fujikami princess."

I mumble, "Somehow that doesn't make me feel better..."

Kiba slings his arm over my shoulders as he offers, "Why don't you come and hang out with me and my teammates? I don't think Team 7 are here yet."

I smile appreciatively at him as I agree, "Sure. Thanks, Kiba-kun." I glance back at Ren and Kyo for them to follow as Kiba leads us to his team, his arm still around me.

"Hi, Sakuya-chan, R-Ren, K-Kyo," Hinata stutters as we approach her and Shino, the Aburame leaning on a bench. She picks up Homura when the nekomata goes over to her and Homura purrs as Hinata strokes her.

"Hi, guys," I greet. "Hope you don't mind if we join you?"

"Not at all," Says Hinata.

Ren leans to me and asks, "Hey, isn't that the Hyuga girl who stutters all the time? Why doesn't she stutter around you?"

I reply, "Who knows." I shrug.

"Oh."

There's a yip and I blink my eyes as Akamaru jumps into my arms.

"Hey, Akamaru," I say, cuddling him. "It's good to see you too." He kicks my face and Kiba smiles as he watches us.

My teammates and I hang out with Team 8 while we wait for the last of the Genin to arrive. At one point, I feel Team 7's vibrations finally arrive with Kakashi's.

The doors open and we turn to see Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke walk in, the pinkette in between both boys. They stand there, frozen with shock at the sheer amount of Genin in the room, just like me and my teammates a while ago.

"Wh... What is this?!" Naruto gasps.

"Gee. I guess we're not alone," Utters Sakura. Sasuke was the only one unfazed. "Man! I didn't know there'd be so much competition!"

Sakura swallows thickly in fear.

"Sasuke! Where've you been?!" Exclaims a familiar loud voice, and they turn to see Ino Yamanaka draping herself over the agitated Uchiha. "You have no idea how much I was hoping you'd show up here! I've missed those broody good looks of yours!"

Sakura scowls angrily as an anime veins appears on her forehead. She points at Ino as she yells, "Hey, you Porker! Back off! He's mine!!"

"Miss Forehead? They let you in?" Ino asks as she lets go of Sasuke. "Still got those frown lines on your Billboard Brow, I see."
