Chapter 80

Sakuya's P. O. V:

As Homura flies through the air, I ask Dan from behind me, "Which way to your village?"

"This way," He says, pointing in a certain direction.

Just when Homura heads towards it, a few kunai fly up at us, but the nekomata dodges. However, one kunai embeds in her side and she growls in pain before descending towards the ground.

"Homura!!" I scream worriedly. We crash to the ground in a heap. I scramble to my feet, ignoring my pain, and quickly check Homura. "Homura?! Are you okay?"

She huffs in response and I go to her injured side. I pull out the kunai as Dan stands beside me.

"It looks deep," I murmur. I was about to heal Homura when another kunai whizzes past my head and embeds in a tree. I gasp and Dan and I whirl around to see a dark haired man with brown eyes behind us.

"Give me the village leader," He orders, holding up another kunai, "or I'll kill you."

I immediately get in front of Dan and grit through my teeth, "You'll have to go through me first!! Petal Release: Petal Current Jutsu!" I sweep out my arm and wave of cherry blossom petals shoots for my opponent.

I hear Kakashi and Hotaru fighting somewhere nearby.

He tries to dodge but a couple of petals graze him.

"Earth Style: Earth and Stone Dragon!" A massive earth dragon forms and heads towards me. I do another set of hand signs.

"Earth Release: Earth Control Jutsu!" I raise my arms and a dome of earth forms around Homura, Dan and I and the dome protects us from the Earth Jutsu. The earth dragon slams into the dome and then vanishes. I lower my arms, returning the earth back to the ground. "Petal Release: Petal Pillar Jutsu."

I thrust up my arm and the rogue ninja jumps back to avoid my Jutsu as cherry blossom petals erupt from the ground. He throws a kunai but I deflect it by throwing one of my own.

The rogue ninja does a set of hand signs. "Earth Style: Stone Column Spear Jutsu." He holds up his hand and spikes of earth shoot towards me. I use my Earth Control Jutsu to stop the final spike.

"Earth Style: Rock Gun Jutsu," Says the rogue and he fires several small rocks of infused chakra from his mouth at me. I do hand signs and form a solid mud wall to block the Jutsu before I disappear with my Petal Body Flicker Jutsu.

Petals appear at the rogue's feet and he looks down, only for me to come at him from above with my left leg outstretched and with chakra flowing into my foot. I let out a grunt of exertion but the rogue barely dodges.

I land as I form a crater with my chakra powered foot and straighten. I glare at my opponent. "You'll pay for hurting Homura! Petal Release: Petal Darts Jutsu."

I flick my wrist and cherry blossom petals are shot at the enemy. He deflects some but one stabs into his right arm.

I do another set of hand signs. "Petal Release: Petal Current Jutsu." I send out a wave of cherry blossom petals and they knock my opponent back. I see a bit of blood through his clothes.

"Wind Style: Spiralling Wind Ball," I say before blowing chakra infused wind into my left hand. It takes on the form of a mini whirlwind, before I send it on the direction of my opponent.

He dodges but it explodes, knocking him back. I send out a few more in rapid succession, and he dances out of the way.

I do another set of hand signs. "Wind Style: Flower Scattering Dance Jutsu." I cherry blossoms rise up around me and morph into a tornado before heading towards the enemy.

Their eyes widen just when the tornado of cherry blossoms slams into them, throwing them a good distance away.

The Jutsu dies down and I straighten, frowning.

The enemy gets back up and runs at me with kunai in hand. Before I could move, he stabs my stomach, causing my pink eyes to widen.

He chuckles, pushing the knife in further. I hear Homura growl but she couldn't stand up. I cough blood and stagger back as the rogue ninja yanks the kunai out of me. He raises it above his head. "Now, die!!"

The rogue ninja plunges the kunai towards me.
