Mariana's POV
10 minutes We had lied here In silence Catching our breathe, staring at the ceiling...
"Do you know Charles Solomons?" I asked, searching for anything to take us away from the silence And not into what we had just done "What?" He asked, looking beside to me
"He called me. Asking for a meeting" I said.
Alfie's POV
She laid beside me, hair a mess under her, splayed across the sheets as she looked at me Wrapped in a sheet She looked so fucking tantalising
But as her words sunk in, so did my heart I came down from the rush and crashed back into real life Charles? Fucking rang her?
"He's my uncle" I said "So why is he calling me?" She asked "He wants to meet you" I said "You never said" she said quietly, I think we were both afraid that the moment we moved too abruptly, spoke too loudly. The moment would truly be gone.

And that both left me in awe and terrified.
"Mar" I said "Yeah?" She whispered, remaining still "I'm not sure where this leaves us" I said honestly I tried to open up the best I knew how.
Because I wanted this to work I ached to have her back And I couldn't believe as I looked at her how I could have ever stayed away.
"I guess... complicated" she sighed, her head rolling to the side. Eyes connecting.
"Very complicated" she went on. And here it was again That moment That tension When all I wanted to do was kiss her Hold her, tell her I love her.
"We're back!" Nala called from downstairs And her eyes widened as she sat up abruptly "Fuck" she said, leaning forward to grab her dress from the floor I stayed still, watching her Looking at the curve of her back all the way down to her a-
