Mariana's POV
"Why does it matter?" I asked confused "Because things are changing, shifting. Michael is ranking higher than I thought he would" Tommy said "Why?" I asked over the phone "Seems Gina is Nelson's favourite" he said "Of course she is" I muttered
She was a cold bitch Any ruthless man would love her "We'll I've not done any deals here. Other than with Alfie's family" I informed him "What deal?" He asked
"Guns. I've cut Irene off. She's unreliable and disloyal" I said "She's big in Chicago, you sure you want to cut her off?" He asked
"I know what I'm doing Tommy" I said Besides. Lucian had told me of plans to move into Chicago With Irene weaker, he had a chance And if he had a chance, then I would reap the rewards.
"I hope so, I'll see you when you're home" he said "Fine" I said "When are you home?" He asked "A week" I said I wanted to see Lucius. I wanted to finalise things with Charles.
"Okay" he said

"Getting a lot done with that rum eh?" I teased, sitting down.
"Rum gets many things done darling" Charles said, downing the rest of his drink "I hear you met Frank" he said "Yes. Very pleasant man isn't he?" I said
"Yeah, he's certainly fucking charming" he chuckled, pouring me a drink with his own "You see Victor?" He asked "Yes" Alfie replied "Etta?" He asked
"Etta?" I echoed "Daughter" Charles said "Ah. No we didn't. Is she significant?" I asked
"No" Charles said quickly. Casually But the small look to Alfie told me otherwise "Is she?" I asked again "No" Alfie assured "Victor ain't even significant. Frank pulls all the strings, he's all we need to worry about" Charles explained
