Mariana's POV
Happily married Peaceful living You would think...
Waking up to the smashing of glass was not the best way to start a morning Hearing men drag other men into your house I pulled my robe on, rushing down the stairs "Stay there" I told Carter in his doorway
When I reach the living room, our men stood holding two others with blades to the neck Whilst Alfie stood fuming at the window The broken window
"What the fuck?" I said loudly "Morning dove" Alfie said "What-" "These men smashed our windows in. You want to tell her why?" Alfie asked them
"Poshel na khuy" one spat 'Fuck you'
I raised my eyebrows in surprise He was blunt Blunt and unfeeling as Alfie stood over him "Take them out the back. Don't want blood on the carpet" he grumbled They were dragged through to the kitchen, out the back door
I looked to Alfie lost and confused "Irene" he said, handing over a note A handwritten note One that was not Irene's writing "This is Marjorie" I said
"Can't be dove, Victor's been swearing blind that she don't have anything to do with this vendetta" he explained "Then he's a liar, or he's stupid" I shrugged She will have everything to do with this
She was loyal to a fault to her mother I sighed "Can you call someone to come and fix it? Fuck sake, the boys have school" I complained
"It'll be fine, they won't care-" "They will care Alfie. They'll care and they'll question and they'll remember, I want them to have a good childhood, not fearing for their life while they get ready to go to school" I said as he neared me He pulled me into him
"Bring them through the other door then, we'll shut these ones off, make excuses and then they won't have to see it up close eh" he suggested, wrapping his arms around me "Now go get changed, bad enough four men have had to see you in that nightgown" he mumbled against my hair
I pulled away, tying my robe up "Maybe I'm trying to keep my options open" I teased "Mm, we'll I'll cut their necks open if they come back in to this, off you go" he nodded to the door.

"Hello?" I said from my desk I was in the bar today, as Alfie was off at a meeting with Sabini, one I gladly missed out on
