"Might we go and discuss our business Mr Mosley? Perhaps somewhere more quiet?" Tommy said "Darling, Mr Shelby just made the astonishing suggestion that we men go off and discuss business while you women wait around looking glamorous" he said casually, his eyes falling to me at the end
Disgusting fuckin- "What year do you think this is Mr Shelby, 1807?" Diana laughed "In Birmingham, the centuries grind by very slowly, don't they Mariana?" He asked "Excuse me?" I questioned
"If you wish to discuss business, Diana is the engine of my enterprise. Unlike the women you keep at bay" he diverted "It's the modern way" Diana chimed "We know, I am company director, I will join the meeting as well" Lizzie said
They both looked at me. Apparently waiting for my contribution I took another glass of champagne from a passing waiter "You invited me" I shrugged
"Of course you must come. Elizabeth... by the way, I don't like Lizzie, I prefer liberated Elizabeth, she must be part of this" she explained "She's been all the way to Paris so she is a woman of the world, bravo" she said condescendingly
