We all sit in a circle watching the flames of a fire dance their way up into the sky. We picked this hotel because of the beautiful outdoor area, in hopes that we may enjoy some time together before the unknown territory of North Carolina. Wrapped in a blanket together, Bill and i hold one another intertwined in each others grasp. Nothing in my life has ever been as effortless as loving him. Even living a life barren of all sense and answers, he is my explanation to all. The fire light flickers extenuating his features perfectly and i can't pull my eyes away from him, i adore him.
"I just want to say, no matter what happens tomorrow... Wether we find people or answers or nothing, I'm glad you were my people through this all." Zeke mutters lifting his beer to us. Our gazes collectively meet each other raising our bottles to one another in admiration and respect.
"Glad you bitches found me." i say through a little smile trying not to be too sentimental.
"Yeah, you guys are more than i could ever ask for. I'm glad i'm stuck with you." Mia adds
"Glad you all get to be around me." Tom shrugs his shoulders
"Oh, Tom! How sweet of you..." Bill says rolling his eyes at his brothers inability to be serious "Well, i just want to say, i'm thankful for each and every one of you. And as weird as it may sound i am thankful for this experience because it brought me to my soulmate." Bill raises his beer toasting us again before leaning over me and pushing me down on the lounge chair with a passionate kiss. Eventually i am able to break away from his tongue being shoved in my mouth and let out a loud giggle. I feel his warm hand make its way to my thighs and i scream in laughter
"Bill! AHAHAH!! STOPP!!" i'm able to get out before pulling his hand from between my legs. I sit back up to the rest of the group, Tom now being turned away from us, only his dreads visible.
"Sorry." i mutter looking around nervously before throwing my shoulder at Bill almost knocking him off the chair but he laughs at my failed attempt.
As a group we sit around the campfire telling stories of how life was back then for us. It's insane how long ago it all seems but in reality it was now just about a week ago. We take the time to appreciate and soak up every detail from each others stories. Even though shit has been really rough being torn between Bill and Tom, i really am thankful to be here too.
"We should stay out here all night." Mia says her eyes gazing up at our magnificent view of the stars
"I will, if you will." I smile at her lying down on the lounge chair my eyelids already struggling to keep open
"I'm going to go pee." Bill sets his bottle roughly on the glass table with a clatter
"You okay baby?" I ask seeing him stumble slightly and i giggle at his tipsiness. He turns back around leaning over me bringing his face close to mine, so close i can almost taste his breath.
"Mhm. Great. Would be even better if you... came with me." He smiles a cheeky grin at his request for a quickie while the group listens on.
"Go pee!!" i yell at him waving him out of my face, trying to be too mushy gushy in front of our friends.
"Whatever!" He yells back at me stumbling inside
"I'll deal with you later, Bill Kaulitz!!" i call out at him, his giggle being heard from inside the hotel lobby.
"You two are disgusting." Zeke says before taking a big swig of his bottle.
"Have you ever been in love, Zeke?" i ask unapologetically, i'm far too intoxicated to be worried i may be prying too far.
"I have."
"OOOO" Mias fingers dance around in excitement at just the mention of love
"Tell us." I demand but i can sense his reluctance
"Her name is Sarah, I met her in first grade."
"What's she like?" Tom asks from behind Mia, the rest of us shocked he cares enough to ask. Tom tends to hide behind all of our questions to one another, who would have thought he was ever even listening?
"She was... man.. she was something. Most beautiful girl i've ever seen in my life. She was kind, she was brave, she was the smartest person i had ever met. She was the kind of girl you marry." His eyes are glued to the fire and i swear i can see her figure in the reflection of his sorrowful eyes.
"Can't wait to see her someday." i smile trying to comfort and remind him what our mission really is.
"Yeah, hopefully." He says bitterly, finishing off the rest of his beer.
"Hey, where's Bill?" asks Tom
"Probably waiting for me in the room." i stand up rolling my eyes and slightly blushing "I'll be back... in a little while."
"MHM!!" Mia hums loudly
