Each student proceeds with their exercises. Fore smiles and shakes his head at their excitement, then leads the Sullys over to a wide and clear table, followed by Aonung and Tsireya.Mr.Fore- Now, to answer your question, Lo'ak. What's first is a little physical.
Lo'ak- Oh I'm healthy and fit.
Mr.Fore- (laughs) I'm sure, but I still need to do this. It's for your other courses as well. I'm the only one with a file and some knowledge on an Omatikayan physique, so I need to get your stats for the others.
Lo'ak- Oh, okay.
Fore grabs a clipboard and sits it on the end of the table.
Mr.Fore- Who's first?
Neteyam holds his head low, and before Kiri can answer, Lo'ak hops onto the table with his legs swinging.
Just as Fore is about to start, his assistant walks up to him asking if he needs help. He gestures for Kiri to go over to the woman, and she complies. Hopping up on the other side of the table.
Fore holds out Lo'ak's arm and feels for his muscle tone, gauging his strength and predicting how well he'll do in the water. He does the same with his legs, and tail. Holding them out and inspecting them firmly. His assistant mirrors his process, jotting down information on her clipboard.
Once Lo'ak is done, he hops off the table and stands to the side. Kiri finishes up just after him.
Lo'ak- Your turn, bro.
Reluctantly, Neteyam slowly pulls himself up onto the table. Aonung stands with his arms crossed, not appreciating Neteyam's lazy approach.
Fore holds out Neteyam's arm, and there's a visible muscle difference between him and Lo'ak. He checks his tail next, and from there he goes to his calves.
Mr.Fore- Hold your leg up.
Neteyam does as asked, and Fore observes the flexing in his thighs. He notices something he saw with Lo'ak as well. The lack of inner thigh strength. While Neteyam still holds his leg out, Fore places his fingers on the outside of his leg, and his thumb on the inside.
He squeezes it lightly, then slides his hand up and squeezes once more, but his observations are interrupted when something hard goes across his face. Tsireya gasps.
He quickly stands back with his hands up, realizing he just got punched in the face. Aonung steps forward.
Aonung- What the hell?!
Lo'ak- Bro, he was just doing his job. You're fine.
Kiri- I'm so sorry, sir, he's just-
Mr.Fore- No, it's fine.
He goes over to the clipboard, jotting down a bit more information, a bit of an angered look now on his face.
Neteyam- Are you done?
Mr.Fore- I am now.
Aonung glares at Neteyam, and though he sees the marine boy's face, he doesn't bother to look directly at him. He hops off the table, and Fore leads them back over to the pool, sliding into the water.
Tsireya goes in after him, Lo'ak and Kiri follow, and Neteyam just sits dipping his legs in. After a deep breath, their teacher regains his calm demeanor and smiles at them once again.
Mr.Fore- Now, as I said before. Ilu are friendly creatures that will happily bond with anyone. No fighting required.
He looks directly at Lo'ak, making Kiri laugh at him.
Mr.Fore- I will help Lo'ak. Tsireya, you help Kiri.
He looks up at Aonung, who's still standing on the floor. He gestures to the forest boy sitting on the side, and Aonung sighs, not wanting to be the one stuck teaching Neteyam yet. But the reality is, it'll be like that all week, so he figures there's no point in complaining now.
