Neteyam walks up to the bathroom door and invites himself in, closing the door behind him. Then he sets the clothing on the counter, and walks up to the shower, sliding the curtains open to announce his presence. The smell of his shampoo fills his nose as he watches Aonung wash it out of his hair.
Neteyam- I brought you something to wear.
The marine boy's ears face back towards him, and Aonung turns a bit as he continues rinsing his hair.
Aonung- Thanks.
He speaks a bit dryly, but it doesn't seem to be on purpose.
Aonung- Your shampoo smells nice.
Neteyam- Glad you like it.
Neteyam leans against the wall while Aonung rinses the last bit of suds from his hair, making his shower come to an end. As he turns the water off, Neteyam grabs an unclaimed towel and hands it to him.
Neteyam- Have a headache?
Aonung- A small one, but the shower helped.
After stepping out of the shower, Aonung begins drying himself, and Neteyam leans against the counter while being ever so observant of his lover.
Neteyam- How are you feeling?
Aonung- Fine.
He sighs, and steps off the counter, going up to Aonung, then holds the boy's face in his hands, interrupting his drying process.
Not that he was expecting the boy to smile, but he wasn't expecting him to wake up frowning either, especially after the fun they had last night.
Neteyam- Then why is this expression stuck on your face?
Aonung- What expression?
Neteyam- You look sad. Either there's something wrong with you, or I did a bad job last night.
Aonung gently pulls his hands away from his face so he can continue to focus on drying himself.
Aonung- No. You were great, Teyam.
Neteyam- Then you're still thinking about your grandfather?
Aonung- No. I told you, I'm done letting him mess with my head.
Neteyam- Your parents?
Aonung sighs as he successfully finishes drying himself, with his hair still damp, then sets the towel aside. Neteyam hands him the green loincloth after a moment enjoying what he looks like without it.
Neteyam- I know you're mad at your father, but that old man has probably been giving him shit for years too. I'm not saying you're wrong to be mad, but at least cut him a little slack.
After his loincloth is secured, Aonung grabs his towel again to continue drying his hair.
Aonung- What do you want for breakfast?
Neteyam sighs at the boy completely ignoring what he just said.
Neteyam- We might not have the ingredients for what I want, now that I think about it. We need to go shopping.
Aonung- Alright, I'll buy whatever you need.
Neteyam- What? Ao-
Aonung- You gonna tell me I can't now?
He suddenly speaks defensively, which startles Neteyam a bit since he hadn't even voiced his opinion yet.
Neteyam- No, but, you don't have to do that. I make my own money now, I can do it.
Aonung- Why can't you just let me help?
Neteyam- You can, but, you always spend your money on me-
Aonung- So now I'm doing it too much?
Neteyam- It's just not really necessary this time.
Aonung- Not necessary? What good am I if I don't help?
Neteyam- It's sweet, Ao, really, I'm not saying I don't appreciate it, but grocery shopping is pricey.
Aonung- You're not answering my question.
Neteyam- Look, I know you like to buy things for me, but I can handle it this time. It isn't your responsibility.
Aonung- So you are saying I can't.
Neteyam- Not permanently, I just meant today. For groceries.
Aonung- But I want to pay for you.
Neteyam- Pay for something else another time.
Aonung- Back and forth, Teyam, I swear. Make up your damn mind.
Neteyam- . . . What's wrong?
Aonung- Now there's something wrong with me because I'm not just doing what you say?
Neteyam stares at him with wide eyes for a moment feeling more frustrated than ever. He doesn't know how to appease this boy right now. So, he sighs softly, and speaks more calmly than he has been this entire time.
Neteyam- Fine, you can pay. Let me get ready.
Aonung plops his towel on the counter, and practically storms out of the bathroom, going past Lo'ak as he heads to their room to wait.
