Luminous Nights [Neteyam x Aonung]

First Nights : Part 11

As they walk, he scans over the many different stores until one catches his attention. He leads them over to it, entering the place. It has its fair share of flashy things, but there's also things that are toned down, the way Neteyam likes.

Immediately he goes over to an aisle full of thick necklaces, smiling at the sight. Then a thought comes to mind.

He's been trying to find something that Aonung likes without knowing what the boy likes at all, so maybe he'll just get what he thinks would look nice on him. The idea of dressing his crush is pleasing to him.

He glances back at the marine boy, who's looking at things with Lo'ak again. The first colors to pop into his mind; Black and gold.

With his mission set, he wanders out of the aisle, sneaking out of sight from the others. He goes over to a rack with shorter necklaces, but none of them really speak to him. That is, until he sees one inside a glass case. Black fabric, with a thin gold chain down the middle. It's perfect.

He strolls over to it, checking the price. It would use up all but a few bucks of his money, but he thinks it's worth it.

He quickly calls for some assistance, and a woman gets the necklace out for him. He goes to one of the checkouts and purchases the gift without the others seeing him.

After he's done, he goes to find the other two but doesn't see them. Suddenly he hears his brother call him and he turns towards a different checkout, where Lo'ak and Aonung are just finishing up. They regroup as they leave the store.

Aonung eyes his bag, but doesn't see what's inside.

Aonung- Why'd you buy that yourself? I said I'd do it for you.

Neteyam- I'm pretty sure Lo'ak is gonna run your card dry.

Lo'ak- No I won't, I'm done.

Neteyam- I find that hard to believe.

Aonung- It's 10:15, we still have time for maybe two more stores if we're quick.

Neteyam- Okay, you pick this time.

He doesn't take long to find where he wants to go. The moment they walk in, there's a bunch of sleeved tops, and other things made to help in the cold. Hats, cloaks, fluffy tops, fluffy anklets and armbands. It's clearly a cold weather store.

Neteyam- Not that I don't need it, but you want me to pick out something for the cold rather than everyday stuff?

Aonung- Correction, I'm  gonna pick you out some warm clothes, and you're gonna get happy wearing them.
