The sound of distant thunder wakes Neteyam from his soundless slumber. His tired eyes open, seeing the curtains to the large window in the room open, revealing the view of the rain outside. Storms usually still make him feel uneasy, but something about the bed he's laying in engulfs him in a sense of calm. His pillow is plump, and perfect for cuddling, and the sheets are smooth and silky, while the comforter's weight over him is cozy. To top it all off, the entire bed smells like Aonung. He never thought that one thing would ever make sense to him; Wanting to smell your lover.
Naturally he knew what Aonung smelt like, and never paid it much mind, until he went without him for a while and started to miss the scent.
His tail sways around under the covers as he cuddles more into his pillow, wanting to go back to sleep. Despite Aonung not even being in the room with him at the moment, that doesn't seem to bother him at all.
As he closes his eyes, he hears the door open, signaling Aonung's return, but he's too comfortable to move.
Aonung- Teyam.
He smiles and hums in response but still doesn't move a muscle as Aonung makes his way to the side of the bed he's closer to.
Aonung- How's your head?
Neteyam- Fine.
The weight of Aonung sitting on the bed moves him a bit, and he opens his golden eyes to meet Aonung's blue ones. Then more thunder from outside briefly breaks their eye contact.
Aonung- Is the storm bothering you? You can have breakfast in bed if you want.
Neteyam- No, I'm alright.
He adjusts himself to sit up, stretching his upper half, and Aonung stares at the blanket draping at his hips, covering the rest of his bare blue self.
Neteyam- You made breakfast?
Aonung- Partially, I'm not done. But you can watch me do the rest.
Neteyam- Your bed makes me feel so lazy.
He yawns at the end of his words, rubbing his eyes. Aonung chuckles lightly at him, then climbs partially into the bed to pull him to the edge, and lifts him into his arms.
Aonung- Better?
Neteyam- It would be if I didn't have to get dressed.
Aonung- You can stay like this. I'll let you sit in my lap while I feed you.
Neteyam- I sense ulterior motives.
Aonung- Maybe.
Neteyam- Down.
Reluctantly, Aonung sets him down so he can head to the bathroom to wash up.
Neteyam- Thanks, Nung-Nung.
His lover smiles at the nickname, and watches his tail sway as he goes into the bathroom from the door that's connected to the room.
After closing the door, Neteyam smiles to himself, recalling the conversation he had last night with Aonung. He was still nervous when he made the decision, but just his wake up experience alone is enough to make him never want to leave.
Perhaps he was being a bit ridiculous wanting to start back over just because the boy was gone for a while. The truth is he just missed him pretty badly, and the last thing he wanted to do was reward Aonung for making him feel that way.
