Aonung's right cheek is reddened, and so is a spot below his left eye. With such a strong build, he could've easily restrained Neteyam and kept himself from getting hurt, but he didn't.Neteyam- Why didn't you fight back?
Aonung- Thanks for the apology.
Neteyam- How can I apologize for hurting you when you didn't bother to defend yourself. That was your choice, not mine.
Aonung attempts to take in a large breath, but it's halted by Neteyam's weight on his stomach.
Aonung- Can you get off me now?
He complies, letting go of Aonung's arms, and standing up off of him. Aonung leans up, and sits for a moment, before looking up at the ceiling window.
Aonung- We should end this now.
He stands from the floor and starts walking towards the ladder on the wall.
Neteyam- But, the storm has already begun. We might as well keep going.
Neteyam trails behind him, but is ignored as Aonung mutters to himself.
Aonung- Don't know what the hell I was thinking, doing something like this.
Neteyam hears him, but doesn't bother to comment. As Aonung begins to climb upwards, Neteyam pulls up after him. When he reaches the top, he pushes the large stiff window open, immediately feeling a rough breeze and heavy raindrops smacking into his face.
He opens it wide enough to climb through, and gets onto the roof, turning back and pulling Neteyam up by the arm as well.
After they're both out and already being drenched, Aonung closes the window back, then looks behind him.
The roofs of the buildings aren't the same height, so they would be able to climb down, but then they'd trigger alarms once on the ground. Safest option is to go along the rooftops until they reach the one closest to the fence. If they can jump far enough and land outside of it, they'll be fine.
With that idea in mind, Aonung leads Neteyam across the buildings that lead closer to the fence.
As they walk and hop along the wet shingles, Neteyam is careful not to slip. He has traveled on many thin branches and vines in the midst of storms back home, so it's second nature.
His exceptional balance doesn't go unnoticed by the marine boy, who actually slips a few times, feeling like he gained a bruise on his side.
Once they reach the last building, a few feet from the fence. Aonung turns to prepare Neteyam for the jump, but before he can say anything he leaps from his spot and lands perfectly on the ground, looking at him from the other side.
Aonung blinks for a moment, remembering the forest is a much trickier environment to live in, and this person here is a forest boy.
He momentarily looks down, fearing for himself because he knows he's heavy, and gravity doesn't favor him. He takes a few steps back and runs into a leap, turning himself at the last minute as he comes very close to the fence.
He lands, roughly on his side, wincing a bit at the pain on the side of his leg. A bar cut him, not deeply enough for concern, but Neteyam still goes to check on him.
Neteyam- Are you alright?
Aonung- Yeah, it's no big deal.
Aonung looks at the cut once more, seeing the rain wash away some of his blood before standing.
As they walk down the sidewalk, Aonung almost instinctively goes to call for his Skimwing to ride home, but refrains, thinking it's better for Neteyam to just walk.
