In the living room, Aonung sits on the couch across from his grandfather, and Tonowari stands next to Yonohan. His hands tremble as the older man looks directly at him with a serious expression.

Yonohan- In the future, never let your mate step out of line. That goes for both of you.

Tonowari nods, though it means nothing, because he would never treat Ronal as his father treated his mother. The woman always said she felt like a servant in her own home, and the day Yonohan heard her say it, he heartlessly told her she was.

He always said whatever cruel thing he wanted, because he had no worries that the woman would leave him. He was loaded with money she needed to raise a child in luxury, and if she did leave then he would have custody, so she never left, for Tonowari's sake.

Until her life took its toll and she passed early.

It was thanks to her that Tonowari was able to recognize his father's terrible behavior, but he still did everything the man said nonetheless, because his mother told him to.

The last thing she wanted was for him to be scolded for being anything other than what Yonohan wanted, so on the surface he was exactly what he was expected to be.

Then the day he became successful, his father finally gave him the room to make his own choices, and that's when he found Ronal.

Yonohan- Our lineage is filled with powerful men. We are bosses. We run our families, or cities, and our business. No one else is permitted to do it for us. Understand?

Aonung- (nods)

Yonohan- Don't ever let anyone pin you down like they have the authority.

Aonung gulps at his words. Two meanings to one phrase, one not seemingly accurate to the situation from the outside, but to both Aonung and his grandfather, the warning is still very clear, just like the first time it was given.

Yonohan- You are a boss, and that privilege is yours. Well, it will be, after you meet some people and choose a partner.

Aonung- Partner?

Yonohan- I know I keep referring to you as a man, but truth is you're still a boy until you make enough money to handle things on your own. You need a friend in business until you're powerful enough to take everything and leave them behind.

Aonung- Oh, okay. When will I meet them?

Yonohan- As soon as we arrive in Kau'kin City. The ride is just a couple hours, we'll head out tonight.

Aonung- W-What? Leave? For how long?

Yonohan- A weekend. Don't worry, you'll be back. The only business you could start, living in that city, is prostitution. It's the reason young people with money, like yourself, meet there to find business partners. Takes the stress off of them while working so hard, and creates a friendly atmosphere.

Aonung- Ah, well uh . . . Is this all?

The man gives him a skeptical look, and he almost regrets asking.

Yonohan- Why the sudden rush? Got somewhere to be?

Aonung- Yes, well, I just have to say goodbye to someone, and let him know when I'll be back.

Yonohan- Your friends can wait a few days.

Aonung- But-

Yonohan- Unless, this isn't just a friend.
