And the answer was to update and make a new chapter regarding our precious legend. That picture is helping me feel better already I mean look at him he's too damn adorable 🥺

Anyways, enjoy :)

1981

"Have I ever mentioned how much I hate interviews?" Freddie whined as he got dressed, earning a chuckle from you.

"Nearly a thousand times. 'They're so boring and dull, however am I supposed to stay awake?'" You imitated him, using a posh and exaggerated voice.

"You sound nothing like me!" He rolled his eyes, fighting off a smirk.

"Oh, I sound just like you darling," You continued, snorting and kissing his nose.

Your husband grinned with his mouth closed and leaned forward to kiss you, but you shook your head.

"Smile." You said softly.

"I just did?" He raised an eyebrow.

"You know what I mean, Freddie." You mumbled, attaching your lips to his jaw.

You knew how insecure he was about his teeth, and it truly upset you that he didn't see the beauty and perfection in them that you and so many others did.

He bit his lip and looked down, sighing quietly before hesitantly giving you a real smile, his dazzling and unique teeth showing.

"You're so stunning...Every part of you is gorgeous baby." You whispered, stroking his cheek gently as his eyes met yours.

"I love you," He said softly, wrapping his arms around you tenderly and buried his face in your neck.

"I love you more." You replied in the same affectionate tone, kissing his head and cuddling him until he had to leave for his interview.

It was moments like that which proved how strong your relationship was, and you wouldn't trade it for anything.

However, something had happened that would strengthen it even more. Something only you knew about.

You had no idea how to tell Freddie, you wanted it to be a surprise but didn't know what to do. You were absolutely horrible when it came to keeping secrets, and you knew it wouldn't be long until it'd become obvious.

Today also happened to be your anniversary, and you had decided to tell him the big news then. You were a bit nervous about how he'd react, but you knew that through the surprise there would also be lots of joy.

After a few hours, Freddie came home and laid next to you, letting out a groan.

"Was it that bad?" You teased, kissing his forehead as he snuggled into you.

"Terrible." He rolled his eyes, though you could tell he was being dramatic.

"Don't get too cozy, we have a date soon." You smiled, lifting a hand under his back and rubbing it gently.

"I think you mean right now, my love." He snorted, springing to his feet and extending a hand out to you, which you took with a chuckle.

The two of you decided to go to the ritz, it was Freddie's idea that you had no problem with as it was a regular spot for the two of you to go on dates.

You arrived and got situated, sitting down and ordering food.

"I can't believe we've been married for two years already," You mused blissfully, taking Freddie's hand into your own. His skin was smooth and soft, there wasn't a single imperfection to be seen upon him.

"I know...Things have certainly changed." He said softly, rubbing his thumb over the back of your hand.

"And they're about to change even more," You thought to yourself as you merely nodded and kissed him gently, his mustache slightly itching which you didn't care about.

He was quick to kiss back, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. You pulled away after a moment with smiles on your faces.

"Speaking of that, I have something for you." He smirked, handing you a gift bag.

"You shouldn't have," You groaned, accepting it anyway and opening it, which revealed a journal. You opened it up and gasped, coming to view with pictures of you both, from various time periods in your relationship from your first year of dating in 1970 to the present.

You looked at one of the pictures thoughtfully. Freddie was sitting on the couch with his arms around you, smiling too wide to cover it. He had long black hair down to his shoulders, and he was slightly shorter with no facial hair.

You then looked up to examine modern Freddie, who looked very noticeably different than his younger self. His long hair was replaced with short hair and a mustache covered his upper lip, he was taller now and his singing had matured significantly compared to the earlier Queen days.

Almost everyone could point out those differences, but you truly didn't care about them. Underneath the change in appearance from the seventies to now, you knew it was still him. You knew it was still the same Freddie you fell in love with.

"Do you like it?" He asked in a small voice, slight anxiety detectable.

You answered his question with a passionate kiss.

"I love it so much honey, thank you Freddie." You said sincerely, squeezing his hand gently while growing nervous.

Would he like the news you were about to give him? Would he be angered by what you were going to say? Would the inevitable life changes upset him?

"I have a gift too...a very different one than yours though." You chuckled a bit, biting your lip.

"You won't see me complaining dearest, I'll love whatever it is." He smiled.

You snorted.

"Oh yeah, like you loved the origami cat I made you for Christmas last year?" You raised an eyebrow.

"You expect me to believe that was supposed to be Delilah!? That looked more like a damn dog than it did my little baby!" He exclaimed, crossing his arms like a child.

You rolled your eyes in amusement. He could be so bratty sometimes, but so adorable at the same time...

"Really Y/N, I'm sure whatever it is it'll be wonderful." He said sweetly, taking your hand and kissing it.

You nodded and took a deep breath, the words spilling out of you before you could help it.

"I'm pregnant..." You blurted, looking over at him slowly to see his reaction.

He sat there petrified for a moment, probably frozen in fear if what you said was a joke, then a huge tearful smile emerged on his face.

"R-Really?" He squeaked, looking desperate to leap across the table and tackle you into a hug.

You nodded instantly, tearing up yourself as Freddie laughed shakily, obviously overjoyed at the confession.

"Fuck Y/N, this is fucking wonderful!" He cried, standing up and rushing to your side, hugging you tenderly but tightly. You hugged back without thinking, burying your face in his neck.

"I love you..." You whispered.

"I love you, and I'll love our soon to be baby just as much darling." He vowed, sitting back down as the two of you enjoyed your date in happiness.

The end.
