This is another one shot that is an AU, (Alternate Universe) and for those who absolutely adore the wizarding world of Harry Potter and are HUGE potterheads like myself, I have a feeling you'll like this chapter. 😏 For the sake of this one shot pretend the boys are all in the same year at Hogwarts LOL.

You bit your lip anxiously as you sat alone in a compartment on the Hogwarts express, waiting for the train to take you to a magical boarding school called Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. 

You and your parents were extremely excited when you received your acceptance letter to the school, though with that joy and anticipation came fear. Would you make any new friends? Would you somehow end up making a fool of yourself in front of everyone? Would you be able to adjust to being on your own?

You, a half blood, were unsure what this unfamiliar environment would be like, though you were willing to face it and do whatever you could to thrive under these new circumstances. Your pure blood father assured you you'd be alright, though you were still anxious.

You weren't sure how long you had been on the train, but you were surprised to find the locomotive coming to a halt. 

"This way, first years! Follow me!" You followed the voice of some...man? He was the tallest man you'd ever seen, he had scruffy clothes on and black hair with a beard.

 You ignored your shock at his appearance and followed him along with the other children to a set of canoes. You sat in one of the canoes and paddled to the dark, mysterious castle that awaited you. 

You followed the students inside, panic still stirring around inside you. Now that you were inside you were stuck here for a year, and stuck attending the school for seven years. There was no going back now.

A woman with a witch hat and a green cloak waited for you atop the stairs, her gaze almost piercing as your nerves inwardly grew.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," She began.

"Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates but before we begin, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, the brave and courageous, Hufflepuff, the kind and diligent, Ravenclaw, the wise and witty, and Slytherin, the ambitious and determined." She informed, making you furrow your brow.

You had recalled reading about the Hogwarts houses after you'd received your acceptance letter, wanting to be prepared when you arrived so you would have at least some idea of what would transpire on your first day. You felt that you could fit into any of the houses, your personality had traits of each, but after the description you'd received, you felt that Slytherin would best suit you.

"Now while you are here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs and successes will earn you points, while any rule breaking and trouble will result in a loss of points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup. The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily." The woman concluded.
