AHHHHH HE'S TOO GORGEOUS (Passes out) I'm physically unable to comprehend how fortunate we ever were to be blessed with this man's music, sexiness, cuteness and frankly every wonderful thing he ever showed us about him...

This one shot is different than the rest, and I say that because it's going to be in Freddie's POV the entire time which I haven't written in these chapters yet! I wasn't sure how I was gonna go about writing this prompt but once I figured out what direction I wanted to take the chapter in, I figured writing it through Freddie's perspective instead of the reader's would be the easiest way to go about it, so if y'all like that then I'll see where I can do that more in future chapters. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

1974 (ish)

"I thought you weren't coming," Y/N whispered as I met her at our secret rendezvous away from the palace and held her close in my arms, wishing I could do that freely whenever I wanted.

We had to be extremely careful whenever we spent time together. My father knew who Y/N was and didn't like her for her background as she came from a questionable family, and as the heir to the throne he told me gently (Which I put very lightly) that I must find a respectable maiden to call my queen when the time comes for me to take his place as king.

"Good thoughts, good words, good deeds. The burden of ruling this kingdom will fall to you when I am no longer here Farrokh, you cannot wed an outsider like her." He had tutted, creating a furious knot in the back of my throat.

I never could please him, no matter what I did. Nothing I did was good enough for him, only my mother and sister truly accepted me, or at least that was until I met Y/N.

It angered me greatly that I would have to live a lie just to be able to see her, but if that were my only choice then I would choose it every time without a second thought.

"I'm sorry darling, I was delayed. Papa gave me one of his lectures again." I desperately attempted to keep the bitterness out of my voice, though I clearly failed by the way the expression on Y/N's face changed.

"What kind of lectures?" She asked quietly, carding her fingers through my long black hair.

I always found it comforting when she did that, it helped calm me down when I was upset and it was just very soothing.

"The usual." I grumbled, holding her closer to me.

It hurt not being good enough. It hurt being a disappointment to my father who criticized everything I did and to be a disappointment to so many others too, to the subjects who gossiped about my oversized teeth and judged me without knowing a thing about me.

"He's wrong love, everything about you is perfect and I couldn't possibly be luckier than I am now to be with you. I love you with all my heart Freddie." Y/N sighed, reaching up on tip toe to kiss my nose.

"I love you more than you could ever imagine my dear, you're the love of my life and you always have been, even if certain people are too blind to accept it." I spoke softly, bending down as I knelt before her, retrieving a small box from my pocket as her eyes widened in shock.

"You've been there for me longer than anyone ever has Y/N, I know we don't have the freedom a normal couple has, but you know as well as I do that we'll never be able to change that if we continue to let my father have his way. I want to be with you for as long as I live, until I take my final breath. I need you darling, not only as my lover but as my wife. Y/N L/N, will you marry me?" My voice quivered as I finished my proposal, looking up at Y/N through misting eyes.
