"Are you nervous?"

"No."

"Really?"

"I'm fucking petrified, dear."

You snickered and kissed your husband's lips, rubbing his face with your thumbs.

"It'll be fine! I'm gonna be up there at some point too you know, I'm anxious as well." You groaned.

"Well you're going to be magnificent, you've practiced too much for your own damn good and you sound lovely, meanwhile I'm probably just gonna screw it all up." Freddie groaned, looking down at the ground.

You frowned and tilted his chin up, kissing his nose.

"Now where did the cocky Freddie Mercury go? I don't see him anywhere." You chuckled.

"Oh I'm cocky alright, perhaps you'll earn that reminder later if we're still alive by the end of this damn thing." He smirked, though you could tell he was still tense.

"You're gonna do marvelous, Freddie. Truly." You smiled.

"B-But what if I fuck it up? I've still got that fucking throat infection a-and I could screw up the lyrics, my piano could sound off key, people could hate us-"

"Now I know that's pure bullshit, no one could ever hate you." You giggled, though your playfulness stopped when you saw a tear drop down his cheek.

"I-I just want to be perfect Y/N..." He sniffled, his bottom lip wobbling a bit.

You quickly took him into your arms, rocking him gently.

"Oh baby, you are perfect! If anyone can pull this off it's you...you're gonna be amazing honey." You said softly, rubbing his back.

"Y-You think so?" He whimpered.

You hated every time you saw him cry, he was usually a confident and bubbly person, he didn't get tearful very often though it broke your heart whenever he did.

"Listen to me Freddie...you're a wonderful performer and you could never screw up even if you tried...I wouldn't be in the music industry if it weren't for you and I have every ounce of faith in the world that you are going to do better than everyone here combined." You said sincerely, kissing his forehead gently.

He nodded slowly, biting his lip as he wiped his eyes.

"S-Sorry...I know I must be boring you to death with my insecurity." He mumbled.

"You could never bore me, Freddie. Stop thinking about everything bad that could happen and think about everything good that could and will happen. You could sing every song perfectly, the others will be there too to help you and the crowd is gonna go wild, when people are asked, 'What's your favorite part of that live aid show?' Their answer will be Queen every time." You soothed.

He nodded again, a small smile forming on his face.

"I love you so much." Freddie said softly.

"I love you more." You chuckled, hugging him again.
