Day 6- The Eternal City of Rome

Head into the Apennine Mountains and travel through the peaceful landscapes of Tuscany and Umbria. Follow the course of the Tiber to your hotel in the Eternal City of Rome. Italian culture is deeply rooted in hospitality with food, friends, and family being central to everyday life. You're invited into the home of a Roman local to experience Italian hospitality at its best, as you enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal with your host.

Wake up ready to embrace this romantic city, a private cruise to St. Mark's Square where the city's former wealth and power are evidenced by the riches of St. Mark's Basilica. Admire the Doge's Palace and its adjoining Bridge of Sighs. With the rest of the day free, why not cruise the Venetian lagoon to the island of Burano for a meal of local specialties and wine?

Zekiel: (Amazed by the ancient ruins) Mercedes, Rome truly is the Eternal City. The history and the preserved ruins are astounding.

Mercedes: (Taking in the Colosseum) The Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon – they're like windows to the past. I'm in awe of it all.

Zekiel: (Excited) And the Vatican City, with St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. It's a spiritual and artistic treasure.

Mercedes: (Anticipating) I can't wait to explore every corner of Rome, sample the authentic Italian cuisine, and perhaps toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain.

Zekiel: (With a smile) Mercedes, Rome is a city that speaks to the soul. Our journey has been filled with incredible destinations, and Rome is no exception.

Mercedes: (Appreciative) Zekiel, I couldn't have asked for a better travel companion. Our adventures have been beyond my wildest dreams.

Zekiel: (Holding her hand) Mercedes, there's still so much more to see and experience. Rome is just another chapter in our story.

Day 7- Papal and Imperial Rome

During the two-night stay, the visit includes fast-track entry and behind-the-scenes access to the Bramante Staircase, a part of the Vatican usually closed to the public. Then explore St. Peter's Basilica, one of the largest churches in the world, then cross the River Tiber to see the largest amphitheater of the Roman Empire, the Colosseum, and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Zekiel: (Gazing at the Vatican) Mercedes, the Vatican's influence on Rome's history is immense. It's not just a religious center; it's a symbol of power and culture.

Mercedes: (Admiring the architecture) The Papal Rome section of the city is filled with grandeur, from St. Peter's Basilica to the Vatican Museums. It's a testament to the beauty of faith and art.

Zekiel: (Exploring the Roman Forum) And then there's Imperial Rome – the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, and the Palatine Hill. It's like walking through the pages of history.

Mercedes: (Excited) Zekiel, the layers of history in this city are astounding. I can't wait to learn more about the emperors, the popes, and the influential figures who shaped Rome.

Zekiel: (With a smile) Mercedes, our journey has been a mix of cultural exploration and romantic moments. Rome has been the perfect blend of both.

Mercedes: (Appreciative) Zekiel, our adventures have been an education and an enchantment. I couldn't have asked for a better travel companion.

Zekiel: (Holding her hand) Mercedes, there's still more to uncover in this incredible city. I'm looking forward to every bit of it.
