After talking some more with the guys. I cleaned up our dishes and carried my wife to bed. She was falling asleep on the counter but refused to go to bed. This woman just amazes me.
The 4th went by quickly. We drove up into the mountains and watched the fireworks light up the valley. Briar and I also fucked in the bed of the truck, under the stars when the fireworks started to end. Another amazing memory to add to our collection.
I went to the med center on Wednesday to go fucking meet Hannah. I just want to get this over with. I saw her at the coffee shop so I joined her at her table. We talked about nonsense. Well, she talked the whole time about what she expects from me and damn does she have a laundry list. Not gonna happen.
I maintained a neutral expression on my face the whole time. Hannah got pissed when I refused to look at the screen. I'm not looking. I will only look when Briar and I see our baby.
Oh, and I bet you can guess: Hannah is refusing to do a paternity test until after the baby is born.
William is drafting our conditions based on Hannah's hearsay.
I will not go to any other appointments and will not put forth effort until the paternity results are confirmed. Hannah also has a restraining order against her to protect myself, Briar, and our baby. Now she can't call or stop by my place like she has done the last couple of days.
In the event the baby is mine, which it's not, I will provide her reimbursement for all medical expenses and an allotted sum for emotional damage. Then we will devise a plan from there. But I'm not worried about it and William will handle all communication with her moving forward until the birth.
After everything was done with Hannah. I helped Briar grab the last of her things from her apartment. She and Tiffany decided not to rent out Briar's room, since Mr. Kensington was the one that bought it. But we agreed that Tiffany should stay. Plus, it will be nice to have that property as an option as well.
Now, it's finally Friday and I drove us to UCLA Medical Center for Briar's appointment. Even though this is our rival, we want the best care for Briar and the baby.
'Are you nervous?' She asked.
'No.' I shook my head. 'I'm excited to meet our baby. Are you nervous?' She shakes her head and smiles.
I cannot even describe the amazing feeling when I saw our little peanut on the screen. I know Briar is pregnant but seeing the baby made it so much more real. We both cried. I am adding peanuts little picture to my wallet so I can carry it everywhere with me.
After getting the news that the baby looks great, but measuring closer to 7 weeks instead of 8. We are scheduled for an appointment next week to check the growth.
We go home and as I am helping Briar out of the truck, I notice her freeze up. 'What's wrong, darlin? Are you hurt?' I ask with major concern.
'No.' She whispers. 'I'm not hurt. I just noticed that black truck over there. I saw it everywhere I went yesterday. I'm sure it's just a coincidence and it is someone that lives here.'
I look over as I close her door and we start walking away. I notice the truck she is talking about. It does seem kinda familiar. But I'm sure she is right, it's just someone who lives here.
'You let me know if you notice that again, yeah?' I ask her. My protective daddy/husband mode is tingling, I need to make sure they are safe.
'Of course. Maybe I should tell William, just in case? I just have a bad feeling.' She says.
'I do too, love. Yeah, we will let William know.' I reassure her as we enter the lobby.
That's really fucking weird. Whose tuck is that? I mean, a black Silverado is a common vehicle but I know I've seen it before.
