(Justin's pov)
I explained to Chaz about the whole situation we were in, starting with Jason's first threats.
"Well, you know your parents were saving up money for college. If it's ok with you, you can use that money. I'm sure they wouldn't mind."
Chaz suggested.
"Yea, we can do that."
There has to be about $120,000, counting Jaxon, Jazzy, and me.
"Hey, you guys should stay the night here."
Chaz offered.
"Thanks, man. Do you live here all by yourself?"
Ryan asked.
"Nah, my wife's asleep in my bedroom."
Chaz opened a door and entered a room.
"Wow, good for you, bro."
Za set Brie down on the couch.
"Thanks. I noticed Justin has a baby too. Care to introduce me?"
Chaz walked back out with a big stack of blankets.
"Chaz, this is Christie, my wife, and this is our baby, Drew."
I helped him with the blankets.
"Nice to meet you two."
Chaz smiled at Christie and Drew. Christie smiled tiredly.
"I see Khalil's got one coming too."
Chaz smiled at Kayla.
"There are two extra bedrooms and two couches. You guys can each share with each other."
Chaz spoke.
"That sounds good. Thanks again, Chaz."
Khalil led Kayla into one of the bedrooms. It's fair, because Kayla's pregnant.
"You guys should get the other bedroom. You need to heal. Plus, you've got a baby."
Stacy insisted tiredly.
"Thanks. See you guys later."
I led Christie and Drew inside one of the bedrooms. She laid Drew next to her after she laid in bed. I know she's tired, even though it was a long flight. We all are. If we're not physically tired, then we're mentally tired. It's been back to back problems since Jason came into the picture. Finally, we can rest without any worries. Well, I can't, because I have to worry about making Christie happy again. I joined her in bed, and we cuddled with Drew in the middle.
-1pm-
I woke up to the sound of Drew crying and Christie talking to him calmly.
"Ugh, it's fucking afternoon. Damn."
I sat up and ran a hand through my hair.
"Shh, not in front of Drew."
Christie smiled at me, and I shifted to her as she rocked Drew in her arms.
"You're so beautiful."
My head was beside her lap and I hugged her sideways.
"Quit it, Justin."
She gently stroked my hair.
"No way."
I smiled at her.
"How are you feeling?"
She glanced at my wound.
"Perfect. You?"
I asked her back.
"Still a bit freaked out."
Christie admitted.
"About what?"
I kept her in my arms.
"About...everything."
She narrowed her eyes.
"Yea, I know it's been scary for you, babe. Just don't overwhelm yourself."
I kissed her hand.
"Ok. I think Drew should eat. That's probably why he's crying."
Christie stood up and so did I. We took turns in the bathroom to wash up and take a shower. Christie took longer, because she was bathing Drew. I took a shower after she finished. My wound stung a little, but it wasn't bad. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, etc. before walking out.
"Sorry I didn't plan this all out, or I would've told everyone to pack their luggage."
I noticed that Christie was still in her hospital gown, so I gave her my gray hoodie.
"It's fine."
Christie spoke and put the hoodie on. We stepped out to see everyone either watching TV or cooking.
"It's about time."
Za joked around.
"You guys hungry? We made sandwiches."
Chaz called to us.
"Sure, Christie and I will share one."
I told him.
"Oh, you must be Justin and Christie."
A girl with light brown hair and blue eyes came up to us.
"Hi."
Christie smiled shyly at her.
"Aw, Drew is so cute. How old is he?"
The girl asked.
"About 9 months."
I answered friendly.
"He's adorable. I'm Brooke, by the way."
She introduced herself. I realized that she was pregnant too.
"Nice to meet you."
I shook her hand.
"Do you guys need any baby food? We've got applesauce."
Brooke offered.
"Yea, that'll work."
I suddenly felt something scratch at my legs. I looked down to see a golden retriever dog.
"Oh, that's Trixie. She's sweet. We just got her 2 weeks ago."
Chaz spoke as he made sandwiches. I heard Christie giggle.
"I like her."
I grinned and took the offered applesauce from Brooke.
"Here's your sandwich."
Chaz handed me our sandwich on a plate.
"Thanks."
I led Christie to the table. She fed Drew as I cut the sandwich into fourths.
"Is this good?"
I asked her about the sandwich.
"Yea, thank you."
She nodded and gave Drew his baby bottle. Christie nibbled the sandwich slowly. I know she'll get better in time as she gets used to eating more. Chaz and Brooke were talking to the others in the living room.
"I love you."
I smiled warmly at her.
"I love you too."
She smiled bashfully.
"We can use the college money to get a place, but we'll have to get jobs."
I explained to her.
"Yea, I know."
She held Drew on her shoulder and patted him to get him to burp.
"We'll look for a place together, but I think we should stay here one more night if that's ok."
I suggested.
"That's fine."
Christie nodded; then Drew burped, making Christie giggle. Damn, it feels so good to see her smile.
"Let's go join them. By the way, Chaz is an old friend of mine."
I bet she's wondering who in the hell Chaz is.
"He's cool."
Christie and I stood up.
"Hey guys."
Chaz motioned us to sit with them, so we did.
"Thanks again, Chaz. We're all really thankful for you."
I told him.
"Aw, don't mind it. You guys are like my brothers."
Chaz spoke towards Khalil, Za, Ryan, and me. I felt his dog, Trixie, brush behind my back. She poked her head in between me and Christie. Drew started laughing and clapping his hands in excitement.
"Drew obviously likes her."
Everyone either chuckled or smiled.
"Would you mind if we stayed another night?"
I asked Chaz and Brooke.
"Yea, no problem."
Chaz agreed.
"We need to look for a place, so we'll be back pretty soon."
I stood up and helped Christie up too.
"Ok, take your time."
Brooke smiled. Christie, Drew, and I walked out of the house and into the cold.
"Shit, I forgot it's freezing out here. Ok, new plan. Let's go to the bank."
I quickly led them into the nearest bank.
"Stay here, babe."
I told her as I walked up to the counter.
"Hello, how can I help you?"
A lady accountant asked.
"Hi, I'm just wondering about the college money that my mom put in. Her account should be by Pattie Mallette."
I crossed my fingers that this would work out.
"Uhm...Oh, I found it. $120,000."
The lady typed something on her computer.
"Ok, would you mind emptying it out to me? I'm her son."
I asked hopefully.
"Well, you're gonna need to get her-"
"She died."
I mumbled as an interruption.
"Oh, I'm sorry. In that case, yes, you may have it. You want a check?"
The lady apologized then offered.
"Yes."
I nodded.
"Ok...here you go. Have a nice day."
She handed me the check.
"You too."
I found an ATM and cashed the check in. Soon enough $120,000 cash came out. I took the stack of bills. I walked back to Christie and Drew.
"How much is that?"
Christie looked at the money in my hand.
"$120,000"
I answered.
"All for us?"
Christie asked.
"I'm gonna split it between Khalil, Ryan, and Za."
I'm not that selfish.
"Ok, so now what?"
Christie was shivering from the cold, even though we were inside.
"Let's get something warm for you."
I put my arm around her and led her out. We rushed through the cold until we found a line of stores.(A/N: Does anyone know what happened between Justin and the L.A. Beliebers? Next post is on Tuesday)
