Christie: 3 weeks and 6 days
Kayla: 4 weeks and 4 days
(Justin's pov)
Christie kept squeezing my shoulder.
"Are you ok, baby?"
I whispered as gentle as I could. The others were about to leave, but I motioned them to stay. They nodded but minded their own business. They talked and got on their phones.
"Christie, hey, talk to me, baby."
I carefully pulled her off my shoulder and on my lap to face me.
"I don't want you die, Justin. I'll have no one."
She whispered, barely audible.
"I'm not gonna die, Christie. I'm gonna get Drew back; then everything will be ok again."
I stroked her face. Her eyes were so hurt and heartbroken that I couldn't stand to look in them.
"Justin...How do you take the pain away?"
She continued to cry back into my shoulder.
"Oh, baby, don't cry anymore. It'll all turn out fine in the end. Trust me."
I hugged her tight and felt her shake painfully in my arms.
"Guys, I need to tell you something. It's bad news."
I have to tell them before they ask about it. If they ask about it, Christie will have another breakdown. I can't stand that.
"What is it?"
Everyone was looking at me and Christie.
"Christie...She's not having the baby..."
I felt her cry harder into me.
",..She had a miscarriage."
It hurt me down to my heart to say that. The girls were all gasping then started crying. The guys didn't cry, but they cursed under their breaths.
"Is she ok, Justin?"
Ryan motioned to Christie.
"She'll get through this."
I answered, partly talking to Christie as well.
"She can get through anything."
Ryan smiled comfortingly.
"What are we gonna do now?"
Brie cried in Za's arms.
"I need to get Drew back; then we're gonna get out of this shit."
I muttered my answer.
"I'm so sorry, guys."
Khalil spoke in sadness.
"Don't worry abou-"
I felt Christie squeeze my shoulder and cry harder. I couldn't hold her any closer unless I want to hurt her. I kissed her head and caressed her beautiful face. I motioned one of the guys to come closer, so Ryan did.
"Why don't you guys go buy her some more flowers for me. She likes purple, pink, and white."
I whispered in his ear. I need to talk to her, but I also want something to cheer her up a little.
"Ok."
He nodded, hugged Stacy, then motioned the others to follow him out the door.
"Hey, baby, how you feeling?"
I carefully pulled her head away to face me.
"My stomach still hurts a little."
She wouldn't stop crying no matter what.
"Aw, I'll take care of that, beautiful."
I started to tenderly rub her small stomach.
"I want you to believe me when I say that Drew is gonna be ok, and you're gonna make it through this. I know you're blaming yourself. I know it hurts, bae. But it's gonna be fine. It'll take time, but everything will turn out ok."
I whispered in her ear as I caressed her stomach.
"This is all my fault, Justin."
She cried wearily.
"No, it's not your fault, Christie. I shouldn't have made you feel so bad about yourself."
I pressed my lips against her cheek.
"...Hell, if it's anyone's fault, it's my brother's. He's never gonna be able to make a baby."
I chuckled, desperate for her to smile.
"Quit it, Justin."
She actually smiled a little. Yes.
"Don't worry about me, babe. I'm gonna get our baby back. I know you're scared for me, but it'll be ok."
Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm gonna make if out alive. I just don't want to hurt Christie.
"Promise me."
Christie whimpered.
"I promise."
I gave her hand a squeeze and kissed it.
"Things will be ok again. Trust me."
I kissed her cheek.
"Surprise! We've got lots of flowers for Christie!"
Za barged in with the others. They still looked down, but they were being nice.
"How many do I have?"
Christie smiled weakly.
"Enough to make your day."
Za smiled at her, and she smiled back.
"Thanks."
She pulled her shirt down and sat up.
"Khalil and Kayla had to check up with the doctor?"
I assumed since they weren't here.
"Yea. It's 10am, and I'm pretty hungry. Do you guys mind if we stop by McDonald's?"
Za wasn't as happy as he was when he walked in. I know it's because of the bad news.
"No, but can you get us something?"
I'm still hungry, even though everything going on makes me sick.
"Yea, what do you want?"
Za asked.
"Just a parfait. Christie and I will share it."
I can't let Christie go another day without food. I let it pass by a few times, but only because she was so broken about Drew and the miscarriage.
"Ok, we're bringing Ryan and Stacy with us."
Za took Brie's hand then motioned Ryan and Stacy to follow.
"Is your stomach still hurting, babe?"
I kept my hand on her stomach, if she even has one.
"A little, but it's tolerable."
Christie mumbled weakly.
"You gonna eat for me?"
I placed my fingertips under her chin. She nodded lightly.
"Good."
I sat her up and placed her on my lap.
"I love you."
I kissed her cheek and hugged her.
"I love you too."
She whispered then leaned on my shoulder.
"Remember when I proposed to you?"
I whispered with my lips against her hair.
"Yea."
She whispered back.
"That was the best day of my life. You know why?"
I smiled at the memory.
"Why?"
She was still at a whisper.
"Because I could be with you forever. I officially could call you mine."
I squeezed her hand.
"Aw, that's sweet, Justin."
Christie smiled.
"And remember when I took you to that frozen pond?"
I continued to smile, mostly because she was smiling.
"Yea, you made me step on it with you."
Her voice was very soft, very delicate.
"I didn't make you, babe. It was fun."
I chuckled and kissed her cheek.
"Whatever."
Her smile was starting to fade.
"Damn, you still have that sassy side."
I chuckled again. Christie giggled quietly then buried her face in my shirt.
"...Promise me you'll be ok, Justin."
Christie's voice was muffled yet wobbly.
"I'll be fine, baby. I cross my heart. I'm gonna get Drew; then I'm gonna end this all."
I hugged her and caressed her back.
"Where'd they go?"
Khalil and Kayla walked in.
"They went to McDonald's. They should be back soon."
I answered.
"...I'm sorry, guys. I know this must be difficult for you."
Kayla stepped close to us.
"Don't worry bout it...Just worry about making Khalil have to change diapers."
I added a joke, so it doesn't ruin the mood. Christie just smiled, and I don't wanna ruin that.
"Is it horrible?"
Khalil grinned.
"Oh, it's torture."
I joked, feeling Christie slightly giggle.
"Damn."
Khalil chuckled.
"So are you guys gonna get married or what?"
I didn't see a ring on Kayla's finger.
"Hmm, possibly."
Khalil smirked then glanced at Kayla.
"Hey, guys, we're back."
Za, Brie, Ryan, and Stacy walked in.
"How'd it go, you two?"
Stacy asked Khalil and Kayla.
"Pretty good."
Kayla purposely didn't go into detail, because Christie was sensitive on this topic.
"That's good to hear."
Brie handed me a McDonald's bag with the parfait.
"Thanks, Brie."
I took out the parfait then opened it.
"Here, just eat a little bit, baby."
I handed it to Christie, and she took a bite of it.
"Good?"
I watched as she swallowed it.
"Yea."
She nodded. I could tell she was still uneasy about eating, but at least she's eating.(A/N: I have bad news guys. I got a new phone, but it erased all my pictures, and it had the Confusion trailer. Is it okay if Confusion doesn't have a trailer? Btw next post is on Tuesday)
