Sorry for the tempting pics^^^
(Christie's pov)
We walked into a Kohls. It's the nearest store we could get. Plus, it's not that expensive.
"Find something warm for you and Drew. I'll meet you up in a minute."
Justin kissed my cheek then walked off. I searched for sweater, pants, and a coat. Once I found all I needed, I went to find something for Drew. I found a coat and another fuzzy blanket for him.
"Did you find something, babe?"
Justin put his arm around me.
"Yea."
I followed him to the checkout stand. We paid then stepped out feeling much warmer.
"Justin."
I spoke in Justin's arms.
"Yea, baby?"
He looked at me.
"Should be consider a condo?"
I think that would be cheaper to pay off. Plus, it's big enough for 3 people.
"Yea, of course, babe. Let's go look for one."
Justin agreed then led me to a street of all kinds of condo buildings.
-5pm-
We looked through about four condo buildings. We wanted one that we could both agree on. Finally, we found a really nice condo with a great view. It also had a cozy and warm feeling to it. Justin and I thought it was worth the money, so we got that one. Justin paid for it and said we'd move in no later than tomorrow. We made our way back to Chaz's house just in time for dinner. Brooke was cooking chicken Parmesan for all of us. My stomach still flips when I see food, because I get nervous. I've spent years in the habit of avoiding food, and this doesn't feel right. In case you don't know, I'm an over-thinker. I kept myself busy by feeding Drew.
"Oh, Christie, we bought Drew some baby food."
Apparently, Ryan and Stacy went out to get groceries while we were gone.
"Thanks."
I smiled appreciatively. I fed the baby food to Drew then gave him his bottle of warm milk. Even though Drew slept most of day, he's still tired. I can tell by his eyes. I don't blame him, because he's witnessed a lot these past few days with whatever Jason did to him. I burped him then went into the bathroom to change him. I changed his diaper then put a new one on him.
"Hey, you wanna share a meal, baby?"
Justin walked in and wrapped his arms around me from behind.
"Ok."
I nodded lightly and put Drew into a clean pair of pajamas.
"Thanks, babe."
He hugged me lovingly and gently swung from side to side. I smiled and turned around to face him. I had no words to tell him how much I loved him, so I hugged him tight, totally forgetting his wound.
"Sorry."
I broke the hug in worry.
"Come here, baby."
He hugged me back and breathed against my neck.
"Mmm, I love you."
He whispered and kept me in the hug.
"I love you too."
I ran my hands down his back.
"We should get Drew in bed. I'm hungry."
Justin kissed my cheek before scooping Drew in his arms.
"Damn, he's already asleep."
Justin kissed Drew's head then wrapped him up in the new blanket we bought him today. I giggled, because he looked like a small burrito. Justin grinned at me; then we left Drew to sleep.
"You guys can eat anywhere."
Brooke handed me a plate with our dinner on it.
"Thanks."
Justin found us an isolated spot, which was at the table, so I could feel less-watched. We split the chicken and pasta between us, and I ate it. I ate all of my portion. I can't say that I didn't feel a little uneasy, but I managed to eat more than I have in months. Justin doesn't even watch me while I eat, like I feared he would. He minds his own business, but he still does make sure I eat.
"Done, baby?"
Justin broke my thoughts.
"Yea."
I nodded with a smile, because I feel proud of myself. I know Justin must feel proud too.
"I've got brownies in the oven."
Brooke announced.
"Sweet. Your cooking is the best, Brooke."
Stacy complimented.
"Yea, you're a lucky guy, Chaz. You get to have 5 star meals everyday."
Za goofed around, making Chaz laugh.
"Did you guys find a place?"
Khalil asked us.
"Yea, we found a nice condo. Oh, we also got the money."
Justin handed Khalil, Za, and Ryan $30,000 each.
"Damn, thanks, man."
Za thanked him.
"Oh, and a little something for your help."
Justin handed $1000 to Chaz. Of course, all the guys will share it with their girls.
"Aw, you didn't have to, Justin. You're a close friend."
Chaz spoke.
"Keep it, bro."
Justin smiled as the oven went off.
"Oh, the brownies."
Brooke hurried to the oven. She took the pan of brownies out with an oven mitt then set it on the counter.
"Anyone want ice cream with that?"
Brooke asked, and Brie, Za, Kayla, and Ryan raised their hands.
(Justin's pov)
"Try some, baby. I'll share with you."
I whispered in Christie's ear.
"Ok."
She nodded as Brooke cut the brownies.
"Here you go."
Brooke handed everyone who wanted ice cream their plate first; then she handed a brownie to everyone else. I let Christie take the first bite, and she liked it. I took a bite too, even though I'm not a big fan of brownies. After desert, we all hung out in the living room and talked and watched tv. Trixie and Drew bonded, which was cute. I held Christie close as she kept an eye on Drew. I started to get sleepy, and so did Christie. She was leaning on me now, because she was half awake.
"We're gonna go to bed."
I got up and helped Christie once she had Drew.
"Ok, goodnight, guys."
Everyone said as we went to our borrowed room.
"Go get ready for bed, baby. I'll put Drew to sleep."
I told Christie. Drew was awake and happy probably because of the dog. I changed him up and wrapped a blanket around him. Since he was wide awake, I slowly rocked him and sang Home to Mama as a lullaby to him. Drew eventually became sleepy and closed his eyes. I gently laid him in our bed since we didn't have a crib for him. Christie walked out and slid in bed tiredly. I entered the bathroom and washed up. I was falling asleep myself.
"If you're still awake, I love you."
I kissed Christie's temple.
"I love you too."
She whispered, and we fell fast asleep with Drew in the middle.
-9am-
I woke up freezing cold. I realized Christie took the covers off of me. She's obviously cold, so I got up and took a hot shower. It sucks to walk out into the fucking cold after I just got warmed up again. I dried off, washed up, then dug out a blanket from the side of the bed.
"I'm sorry."
Christie mumbled tiredly.
"Oh, it's no big deal, baby."
I curled up beside her.
"I need to get up."
Christie held Drew in her arms and got up.
"I'll change him, baby."
I took Drew from her, so she can go get ready for the day.
"Did you sleep good?"
I began to change Drew's diaper. He just smiled at me.
"Your mom is very amazing, you know?"
I smiled too as I talked to him.
"Yea, she's all I can dream of."
I put him in a clean pair of navy colored footie pajamas.
"You have her eyes. They're so brown and filled with curiosity. She's always so shy with me. She's perfect, like you."
I held him in the air above my head and stared at him. Drew giggled and reached for me with his small hands.
"She's also very attractive. We haven't done anything in weeks. I'd love to have a little fun with her, you know-"
"Justin! You're talking to our baby here."
Christie giggled and took Drew from me.
"Sorry."
I kissed her cheek; then we headed for breakfast.
