(Justin's pov)
For breakfast, Brooke made blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon. Christie and I split our meal, and Drew had some baby food.
"This is amazing. Thanks, Brooke."
Ryan thanked Brooke for the meal.
"I try."
Brooke smiled and rubbed Chaz's back as he washed dishes.
"Well, we should get going."
I stood up with Christie and Drew.
"Aw, you're leaving already?"
Brooke walked to us and hugged us all.
"Here, take some leftover brownies for good luck."
She handed me a small container with brownies.
"Thanks. We'll visit every so often."
I hugged Chaz, and everyone started hugging and wishing us good luck.
"We'll try to get jobs together."
Za patted my back.
"Sounds cool."
I smiled at the idea. After all of us said goodbye, Christie and I walked out into the cold and made our way to our condo. We really don't have this planned out. We need food, furniture, a car, and jobs. This isn't gonna be easy at all. I know it's the way life is. We have to learn how to live without shortcuts. This is all new to me, because all the work I've done was sell drugs.
"Ok, where do we start?"
I sighed, standing in the empty condo.
"We can paint?"
Christie touched the bare, white walls.
"Better than my idea. Let's go."
And we headed back into the cold air. I didn't even have an idea. We found a Home Depot and decided on two colors, lavender and light grey. We also wanted to paint the bathroom a cream-colored brown and the kitchen white. We bought brushes, plastic wrap to prevent the floor from staining, and paint containers. We also stopped my target to buy an small air mattress for sleeping. When we got back, Christie and I started painting. Drew was resting on the air mattress.
"Let's open a window."
Christie suggested, so I opened the window.
"Better watch out. This might accidental slip out of my hands, babe."
I teased her with the roller paint brush.
"You better not. This is my only pair of clothes."
Christie giggled as she painted the opposite wall with lavender.
"Just warning you."
I smiled while painting my side of the wall with light grey.
"Just telling you."
Christie smiled back. I only grinned after that. There's not much to say when Christie smiles, because it's not explainable. She's perfect.
-6pm-
Well, we got most of the main room painted. We even put two coats of paint. During the time, we had to stop by the store to eat and buy a small ladder, so we could paint the ceiling. However, we got most of the room done. We just need to paint the kitchen, the two bedrooms, and bathroom.
"My arms are tired."
Christie laid next to Drew on the air mattress.
"Aw, poor baby."
I joined her and wrapped her close along with Drew.
"Let's sleep in one of the bedrooms. The smell isn't good for Drew."
Christie suggested.
"Good idea, babe."
I agreed with her.
"What color furniture should we get?"
She thought out loud with Drew in her arms.
"Hm, white?"
I thought of a color that would go good with lavender and light gray.
"Ok. I can't wait."
She enjoyed decorating the room. I can tell.
"Let's get dinner, baby."
I helped her on her feet with Drew in her arms.
"Subway?"
We wanted something cheap, so we can spend more money on furniture and the things we needed.
"Ok."
We went to Subway and ate. Christie had an extra applesauce cup and Drew's bottle, so he could eat too.
"For breakfast, let's get some cereal."
I led her into a gas station to get small bowls of cereal. I got Cap'n Crunch, and Christie got Cheerios. We also bought some baby food, milk, water, peanut butter, strawberry jelly, bread, and granola bars to last us.
"I'm tired."
Christie yawned.
"Get ready for bed. baby."
I kissed her cheek before she entered the bathroom.
"Ok, let's change your diaper."
I told Drew. We had extra diapers, pillows, and blankets that Chaz and Brooke offered us.
"There, you're ready for bed."
I kissed Drew's head then laid him on the mattress. A few seconds later Christie walked out; then I used the bathroom. I got ready for bed, and when I walked out, Christie was snuggling up with Drew.
"Enjoying yourselves?"
I smirked and turned off the lights.
"Stop it, Justin. He's a baby."
Christie giggled, and I held her close with Drew between us.
"I know."
I kissed both her and Drew's head.
"Goodnight. I love you."
She rested her hand on mine, which was on her waist.
"I love you too, baby."
I smiled, even though she couldn't see it.
-8am-
"Morning already?!"
I jokingly yet loudly yawned, causing Christie to gasp and Drew to cry.
"Shit, Justin, you scared me."
Christie was obviously wide awake.
"Sorry."
I grinned.
"You made Drew cry. Nice going."
She pushed me in playfulness.
"Sorry. I'm just in a good mood."
I kissed her cheek.
"It's fine."
She calmed Drew down.
"I'm gonna make breakfast."
I headed to the kitchen. I set up three paper bowls and plastic spoons on the counter. I put the 2% milk, cereal, and baby food on the counter too.
"You're so sweet, Justin."
Christie walked out of the bathroom and kissed my cheek. I smiled and went into bathroom as she fed Drew. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, washed my face, and freshened up. I made it out just in time after Christie finished feeding Drew. I turned her around and kissed her lips.
"I washed your potty mouth for you. Don't you know that Drew's too young to hear you cuss?"
I played with her, recalling earlier this morning.
"Hey, you cuss all the time."
She poured milk into both our bowls.
"Anyways, how'd you sleep last night?"
I changed the subject and poured Cap'n Crunch into my bowl.
"Good, but someone ruined it for me."
She nudged me.
"Hey, I had a nice dream last night."
I took a bite from my cereal as she ate too. Hopefully, she'll eat all of it.
"What was it about?"
Christie covered her mouth as she spoke, because she had her mouth full.
"You. We were jumping on a bed. It was just me and you. It started off fun...then it kinda turned into a sexual-"
"Ok-ok! I've heard enough."
Christie signaled me to stop.
"It's not my fault. I can't control my dreams."
I chuckled then took another bite.
"But you can control your sexual feelings."
She giggled.
"Actually, it's kinda out of my control when it comes to you."
I smirked.
"Justin!"
She whined.
"Ok, I'll try to control it. You ready for a hard day of work?"
I grabbed a paint can.
"Totally."
Thankfully, she finished her cereal. We got to work on painting the kitchen first.
"Justin, I wanna say I'm sorry for causing you so much...stress."
Christie spoke thoughtfully as we painted the wall.
"Aw, baby, it's ok. I know it wasn't your intention."
I hated for her to apologize. It just doesn't sound right.
"I guess I just...I don't know. I'm not good at "staying strong" or whatever. "
She quoted then rolled her eyes at herself.
"You're kidding me, right? You're the strongest person I've ever met. Not even the guys can compare to you, baby. Nobody could've went through what you did. Nobody."
I had to stop painting to look in her eyes.
"Justin."
Christie blushed and broke her gaze on me.
"You're stronger than you think, baby. That's for sure."
I continued painting as I spoke.
"So are you."
She smiled bashfully.
"Nah, I'm just me."
I smiled at her from the side.
"You're a lot of things, Justin."
Christie giggled cutely yet truthfully.
"Such as..."
I urged her to go on with her statement.
"Well, you're my husband. That's definitely first on the list. You're a father, a friend, a brother-to Jazzy and Jaxon, of course. You're an uncle, I guess..."
Christie listed.
"I'm an excellent pleaser."
I smirked then winked.
"...I've gotta admit. You are."
Her cheeks burned, and she broke eye contact.
"Aw, I knew it."
I kissed her warm cheek then continued to paint again.(A/N: Am I the only one obsessed with Justin's ass?😂😂 Next post is on Thursday)
