I arose to my annoying alarm—but today it sounded a bit more blissful. Rolling over to the nightstand of the hotel laid a hand written note.
Good morning beautiful,
I hope you slept wonderfully without me because I spent every waking second thinking about the beautiful bride you're about to make. I can't wait to see you later and kiss you to seal our fate. I love you Arielle and I'm so happy I'm about to be able to call you my wife and my last name will also belong to you and all the many babies we'll bring forth.- Love your soon to be husband.
I grinned widely as tears threatened to fall.
I couldn't believe that I had ever second guessed being with the man of my dreams back then. He was close to perfect and I allowed a few problems to get in the way of seeing that. We'd had the most refreshing relationship from beginning to now with a few rocky moments and I'm sure there's a lot of bumps on the way as well— but there's still no one else I rather spend eternity with.
Against my whole bachelorette's party advice, I called my man.
"Hello," He let out a breath of relief. "you thinking bout' me too I see." I could just hear the smirk. "Yes I am papa," I giggled nerves easing the more we spoke. "I miss you so much baby," He admitted. "I miss you more papa like I can't breathe right now I'm so nervous and excited to see you and for you to see me in my dress. This is pitiful," I said pouting earning a laugh from him. "It's okay mama, daddy miss you too. I know you gone look fine as ever,"
A hard knock on my hotel room interrupted me from my next sentence, "Girl, I know your ass ain't in there talking to ugly ass Khalil. I'm gone beat the both of y'all asses." Skylar said twisting at the knob.
We had a suite and of course, the bride-to-be had the master.
"And she is," He said smartly as if she could hear him. "I gotta go baby, I love you, bye." I whispered earning a laugh from him, then hanging up.
