"So you're telling me... this, is my hospital room— and there's a suite attached to it?" I asked Khalil looking around the beautiful room.

I was woken up out of my sleep earlier this morning and was told that I was being transferred to another hospital but I didn't expect anything like this. I had to stay in the hospital on bedrest until it was time to give birth. I was only seven months pregnant so that meant two whole  months looking at the same four walls everyday.

"That's exactly what I'm telling you. That's where I was yesterday, getting things in order for you." He said scratching the back of his head and I instantly felt bad. Khalil never was the type of person to go out of his way to do nice things for people. When it came to me— everything was different.

"I'm so sorry about how I acted yesterday. I really appreciate this and everything you do for me." I said giving him a hug.  "As long as you don't do that shit again,we good." He spoke seriously. He wasn't big on disrespect, being questioned, any of those things. He liked to go with the flow.

"I know you going through a lot mama, but so am I. I may not be able to express myself as much, but this is my daughter too. I'm just as stressed as you and as a man I'm tryna hold it all together— for you." I nodded, "I'm sorry baby. I am, and I'm trying ok?"

"I know you are, but know that I'm here with you and it's us together, not against." "Ok." I said simply putting my things down. "The nurses should be in here shortly to hook everything up for you." He said turning on the tv. "I'm excited to be here it's like we're on vacation." I said sighing in contentment glancing around the room. "Shit, with how much all this costed we may as well be. I just know I wasn't finna be sleeping on them raggedy ass couches for no three months." He shrugged. "I feel you on that. Them beds ain't no better. My back be on ten. At least this one is a Tempur-Pedic."

My body was pretty much sore all over. I was experiencing excruciating contractions every few hours and my body was also still aching from the fall. They medicated me up with as much pain medicine that my body could tolerate while pregnant, which wasn't much at all, but it hardly was working. I'm surprised that I was able to still walk around on my own.
