I woke up seeing Khalil's large hands around me as I laid in his arms. My brain was foggy but my mind drifted to the events that took place the night before.

I had borderline embarrassed myself and came home to have sex with my husband whose supposed to be in the dog house and he initiated it.

We had sexual relations since he's cheated but I always went to him and made him leave afterwards.

This time was different and I hoped that he didn't think it meant we were back together.

I removed his arms from around me and got up going to the bathroom to handle my hygiene.

I peed, washed my hands, then walked over to the sink. I looked in the mirror seeing bags under my eyes and mixed me up a face mask. I waited ten minutes before washing it off then I brushed my teeth and washed my face.

Shortly after, Khalil walked into the bathroom to relieve himself.

"Good morning," He greeted. "Morning," I mumbled as I left him to handle his business.

I put on some lounge clothes and made my way downstairs to the girls room. They were both up watching Doc McStuffins while eating a bowel of cereal.

"Good morning babies, did y'all brush your teeth?" I asked standing at the door. "Yes ma'am," Sayori answered for the both of them.

I nodded and walked in giving them both a hug and kiss.

"Well it's Sunday. What y'all wanna get into?"

"Can we just stay in I'm exhausted," Sayori said as she stretched. She had been working really hard at practice to ensure that she'd get another solo next month at their next recital.

"I wanna do what sissy do," Lathan shrugged drinking the almond milk from her bowl. "Ok, that's fine. I'll be in the living room if y'all need me, wash y'all bowls when y'all are done." I said more so to Sayori. "I got this mom." She said shooing me, eyes never leaving the screen. "Ok girl." I laughed walking out and shutting the door behind me.

I went in the fridge and grabbed the appropriate ingredients to make me and Khalil a smoothie bowl. I still would operate as usual when it came to household duties, just because it was what I was accustomed to even before marriage and getting into a relationship. Khalil walked down the stairs— hands in his pants and walked over to me wrapping his arms around me. He began to kiss behind my ear making me shudder.

I pushed off of him gently diverting my attention back to the task at hand.

"Peach or strawberry?" I spoke breaking the silence. "Peach," He said in response sitting down on one of the stools.

I mixed everything together and slid the bowl in front of him.

"Thank you baby." He smiled picking up his spoon. "Welcome." I mumbled going back into the kitchen.
