"Melo tell whoever Nia is to come on in." I said pulling out her portfolio. She was the last person I was looking into. She had all the requirements— I just needed to do the interview.I flipped through her folder while I waited. I heard heels clicking before she sat down in front of me.

"Hi, how are you? I'm Khalil the owner." I held my hand out finally looking up. "Well... we meet again." She smirked shaking my hand. I had finally put a name to the face that I kept running into.

I face palmed myself wondering why her resume looked the part.

"I promise I'm not stalking you, I just need a job." She pleaded with the same smirk on her face. If I didn't know any better, she was enjoying this and I should've just told her to leave my business— but I didn't.

She deserved a chance despite my personal feelings, besides— we've crossed paths in a grocery store. It wasn't like anything happened between us.

"Let's just get down to business." I said sternly leaving no room for assumptions. "what do you know about our company and why do you wanna work here?"

She crossed her legs, "Well I hardly know anything. The place just opened so I can't really answer that but I wanna work here because I have ten years of experience for the position." I nodded going to the next question. "What skills and strengths can you bring to this position?"
