Today, I was finally being released from the hospital.
I was relieved that I'd be back in the comfort of my own home and could wash my ass without being monitored.
I had been here for the past three days hooked up to machines all because my blood pressure was too high for their liking. I assured them that I had anxiety and wasn't able to take my medications due to me being pregnant. Any stressful situation would make my blood pressure go up.
They insisted on keeping me anyway.
Since I've been here, Khalil hadn't left my side but once and that was to get us both some more clothes from my house. He decided that he'd be staying with me for a few days to make sure I was okay. I told him that Sky offered to come but he insisted so I let it go knowing how persistent he could be.
Once he had his mind made set on something, there was no point in arguing about it.
I put my pride aside and even offered to let Casey stay as long as she didn't get in my way halfway not expecting her to take me up on the offer.
My house, my rules and I'd definitely enjoy beating that ass in the comfort of my own home if she over stepped injured and all. I sympathized with her because I knew how it must've felt. Her boyfriend shacking up with his pregnant best friend and he happened to be the babies father.
I wouldn't be going for it at all. I actually wouldn't even be in that position so I could only imagine.
"I already signed your release forms and everything so we can go," Khalil said entering the room.
"Could you help me please." I was still a bit sore from all the needles and my body was a little swollen from having to lay here for so long. He threw the duffle bag that carried our belongings over his shoulder and grabbed my hand.
"I could just carry you, again." I put my hand up protesting, "No I need to be able to walk. I've barely did anything for myself these past three days."
I pulled myself up using his body for support. I grabbed my phone and tidied the room a bit. It wasn't my job but it was common courtesy and it had everything to do with the way I was raised.
I'm the girl at restaurants who stacks the dishes and trash up to make it easier for the waitress.
"Girl," He said laughing, "bring yo polite ass on."
I rolled my eyes at him and finished what I was doing. "Ok now we can go."
He shook his head at me before helping me out the room and down the hall to the receptionist desk.
"I was in room 204. Just wanna make sure everything is good for me to leave." I said, "Yes ma'am your husband here has double checked and triple checked. You're good to go ma'am." She responded smiling.
