"Did you text the group chat like I asked you to? I didn't get a text." Arielle said groggily.

"Yes baby. Your phone is on vibrate, remember?" I said watching as she did her best to nurse the baby.

She had just waken up— a full day after she gave
birth. She felt guilty for the little bit of time that she missed out on. Her body was very swollen and it would take her a while to recover completely. I knew she was in pain. I could see it just by looking at her but she was being superwoman.

She was simply in love with Sayori and so am I. We created a beautiful little girl. They both did what needed to be done and made it out alive, all I could've asked for.

Sayori was bigger than we had expected— reason being, Arielle started to develop preeclampsia and it was missed because of the other complications which was common. Normally, at thirty weeks fetal age, a baby would barely be touching three to four pounds, but gratefully Sayori was almost the average size of a newborn.

"I'm crying, Sky said she look like a pretty porcelain doll, but the black ones." She said looking down at her phone.

I had sent the family chat pictures and asked that they respected our privacy until we were ready.

My mother insisted that she drove down immediately but I told her that it would be a waste because she wasn't seeing the baby until I said.

Out of everyone— she's the only person that expected some sort of special treatment.
