"We are not takin that ugly ass sofa. Amere can definitely have that." I was now seven months pregnant and miserable as ever. I was finally showing and could no longer see my toes. We were due to move into our beautiful home in less than a month.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to find a penthouse to my liking so we found a nice spacious house. We still weren't together and that was okay. Working on yourself takes times especially self examination. Khalil was still looking for him a decent space. He had already found a few, but they weren't exactly what he wanted. When you had money— things went a lot smoother.
Instead of Amere finding a new place in a couple of months with the budget that he had, he was taking my house off my hands. Along with Skylar, I had purchased a home for myself a few years back so he wouldn't have to worry about paying anything but the amenities.
He had finally got his baby mother, Talia to let him move the girls out here with him. She agreed that he could keep them during the school year and she'd have them every other holiday and over the summer.
She didn't want them having to switch schools every other semester and she could agree that her work schedule was a lot more hectic than his and he also had a lot of support out here to help him with the girls while she was estranged from her family. As of now, they were living with me and Khalil until our move in date.
Khalil's lease to his house had been up for at least a month now so instead of renewing it knowing we'd be moving soon he moved out.
Amere took Khalil's old room, and the girls took Skylar's room. Amere was more than happy to know he'd be staying really close to Sky.
"Girl I will fight you bout my couch," Khalil said seriously. We were discussing what all we were taking and what was to be donated or left to Amere.
I wanted to let him call dibs on whatever he wanted and start from scratch, being that he previously lived in an apartment. Khalil on the other hand wanted to hold onto things. We had already did most of the shopping for baby girl, we just hadn't set anything up yet. All of her things were packed and ready to go.
