Khalil roamed the streets until his car led him to his gym— BodyWorks.
He had been drinking and he wasn't thinking clearly but he knew he'd end up sleeping it off in his office. He got out the car stumbling into the empty building.
The gym was open for business 20 hours a day and closed for four but it was still open to the employees which is why he wasn't surprised when he seen Nia still at her desk.
He locked the door back and entered the building fully. Nia jumped up from her seat startled by Khalil whom she didn't expect for another few hours. She always stayed late running admissions through the system and printing off black cards.
"Damn, you scared me," She said holding her hand over her chest as it heaved up and down.
Khalil examined her choice of clothing. She had on a pair of spandex— and a sports bra that exposed her perky breast that were pierced.
"Oh my fault." He apologized licking over his lips. He watched her intently for a few seconds before shaking his head, walking to his office. He shut the door behind him and laid his head onto his desk.
A few minutes passed before there was a knock at the door. He groaned only wanting to get at least an hour of sleep before his shift.
He wasn't obligated to be at the office but anywhere was better than being at home at the moment.
"Come in." The door opened and in walked Nia.
"Hey I just wanted to check on you. You normally don't work this late." She said pulling a chair next to him.
Khalil stared at her for a few seconds before talking.
"I'm good, just having some problems at home." Him and Nia were cool.
She had been his receptionist for five years and she did a damned good job at it. It was almost impossible not to have grown a bond at this point. He never had to get onto her for slacking off or anything of that nature. He considered them friends.
"What you and wifey arguing about her going over her monthly shopping limit?" She joked, He blinked repeatedly trying to get his headache under control but her loud giggling was making it worse. He opened his drawer and took out some Tylenol taking two.
Nia stood from her seat and walked up behind him massaging his shoulders.
"Why don't you let me ease your mind," She whispered as she sucked his ear. Khalili pushed her off of him aggressively.
"Nia what are you doing?" He asked calmly.
He was drunk so he wasn't reacting like he normally would and yelling would only worsen his headache. Nia stumbled and started to laugh at him.
