Ari gathered all the dishes that had been used to eat dinner. She had cooked for her and her new friend. They had been kicking it for a little minute now and she had finally agreed to go to his house.
She didn't want someone she hardly knew knowing where she lived.
"I'm glad you took me up on that offer. I thought you were lying about being able to cook." Chris had been begging her to cook for him since the moment she told him she could. He figure he'd scope her out a little.
In his eyes any woman that could cook, especially from scratch was wife material. He liked her already.
"I never lie," I said truthfully.
"My mom taught me when I was real young and said that no man wanted a woman that couldn't cook and clean the house. She basically raised me on how to be a wife."
"You don't talk about her a lot, why is that?" Chris asked eyebrow raised.
"Other than the fact that I barely know you, sir I don't open up to people easily but if you stick around you'll learn more about me, just not now."
"Fair enough," He nodded, " but thought we were getting somewhere. I wouldn't go to someone's house that I barely know Besides, the only thing I know about you is your name." Chris wasn't one big on social media. He had no clue how big Ari was. He had only gotten her instagram recently.
"That's all you need to know for now. I made it clear to you that we're strictly friends. I'm not looking for anything romantic." I said. I began placing all the dishes in the sink allowing them to soak for a while before I actually washed them. I attempted to walk to the couch but Chris pulled me into his lap holding me around my stomach making me uncomfortable.
"What if I said I didn't wanna be friends?" He said licking over his lips. He was very handsome, but it felt stupid to even attempt to take it there with him, or anyone else.
