Today was day twenty— our final day at the hospital.

Sayori was no longer attached to a tube, and she was much more healthier than when she was born. Instead of losing birth weight as they normally did, she had gained two pounds landing her at 7 pounds, 15.9 ounces, almost eight.

She recovered from her infection amazingly and she wasn't as fussy and agitated as before. My stitches had to be in longer than normal but I finally had them taken out about a week ago.

I was still bleeding lightly with a mixture of discharge but the doctor said that it should stop within the next few weeks. I could move around a lot better than before but, the pain was still around.

I'm just ready to go home for the first time— ever.

The house was finished and ready for us to move in officially. Things were only prolonged due to us being stuck in the hospital.

Amere had officially move into the old house and the girls loved having a huge play room and having Skylar over all the time to play with them.

Everybody was excited to see the baby but they respected our wishes with the exception of Jewel.

Once we got settled we'd be allowing everyone to come over to meet her, but until then they'd have to continue to be patient and understanding. We're first time parents and we're only being cautious of our baby.

"Can you make sure all of her stuff is there," I spoke to Khalil looking around the room. We had already packed everything up the night before after being told we were good to go home the next day. They had already examined the carseat making sure she was buckled in properly, as they routinely did, and we were set to leave.

"I've checked three times baby, let's go." Khalil said holding our luggage in his hands.

I had to admit that I was a bit nervous about going home and being on our own without all the nurses and doctors checking in on us.

I was scared to be at home caring for her on our own.

"Did you sign the discharge papers already?" I asked nervously.  "Yes mama, I've given them to them and everything. We literally have the car running Ari— we need to go." I nodded and pulled down the cover on Sayori's carseat. I grabbed Khalil's hand and we exited the room.

I waved at the receptionist and they waved back doing small waves at Ori.

"Enjoy mother and fatherhood, and congratulations again." She said smiling widely. Since this wasn't our normal doctor's office we wouldn't be back here unless we were to have another baby— and I don't see that happening anytime soon and maybe not at all.

"Thank you," We said in unison getting onto the elevator. I watched her closely as she began to kick her legs.

"What's wrong baby?" I cooed lifting the cover. Her lips started to pout and she started to frown, so I put the seat down and picked her up. When the elevator stopped, Khalil grabbed her seat and we continued the path to the car while I rocked her on my chest.
