"You're the prettiest woman on the planet," Khalil complimented as I blushed. He still had that effect on me years later. He had picked my dress this year and he was loving every bit of it.
"And you're the most handsome man on the planet," I said holding my hand out for his. He had on a burnt orange suit with white undertones to match accessorizing with silver. We looked stunning.
It was our anniversary and the kids were with his mother this go round. We still weren't as close as before, but we had an understanding when it came to the girls.
He held the door open for me and walked in behind me. He talked to the waitress for a few minutes and walked me to the elevator. We got in and shortly after the door opened to a breathtaking scenery. We were at a beautiful two story restaurant and our seats were outside on a balcony— looking down over the city.
