"Yup, there sheis." The doctor said pointing to the screen. We were having a little girl. "She?" Ari questioned with wide eyes.
"Yes you guys are expecting a baby girl." The doctor confirmed smiling. Arielle's eyes started to water as she stared at the monitor.
"Here she go being a crybaby again. I bet you wouldn't believe that she was the meanest person I knew before she got pregnant." I said shaking my head.
"Oh, I can very much believe it. I lived through it." Dr. Winfield said laughing. Her and her husband shared a ten year old daughter and a two year old son.
"Congratulations on your guy's baby girl," She beamed handing us each an ultrasound. "let me wipe your stomach off and y'all can head on out."
"No, I got it. I know you got other patients to tend to and it's the least I could do. Thank you for everything." I said hugging her.
"Aw, thank you- you got a good one right here," She nudged Ari earning a laugh from her. "Have a good rest of the day Dr. Winfield." She said waving. "You guys too." She said leaving the room.
I grabbed some paper towels and wiped the gel from Arielle's stomach.
"I'm so excited. She's gonna be sooo beautiful." She cooed imagining what our daughter would look like. Arielle would always say she just wanted a healthy baby, but I knew deep down she wanted a girl and was meant to be a girl mom.
"If she looks anything like you she will." I said making her blush. "so I've been thinking and I want us to move in together." I said searching her face for some sort of reaction. "I don't want our daughter growing up in two separate homes and I think it's hell of unnecessary to be buying two of everything when we could just live together. We've been friends for so long, we'll learn how to navigate through everything while we figure things out."
"What about Casey," She mentioned. It had been a few days, close to a week since the break up and I had yet to mention it. I was still wrapping my head around it, but I wasn't exactly sad. "I'm not about to live with the both of y'all just to avoid buying more things. We both have more than enough money to do so-so to me, that would be dumb." She finished.
