The King family— and extended family had all been called home to their parent's residence on behalf of the Evan's.

There was news to be shared with everyone and everybody had to be there.

Each couple spent their morning getting dressed in simple, casual clothes and made the long drive to their parents and in laws home. Everybody had arrived several minutes ago except the couple who had called the meet up.

"Y'all do know that we pretty much all got kids right," Arielle said semi annoyed.

She didn't mean to come off as a bitch, but they had been here for a little while now and it was beginning to be a bit much. Maybe her period was about to come she thought.

She was tired of sitting up at her parents house surrounded by people. She rather be at home with her babies and continuing her healing process. It wasn't their fault that she was going through things but being forced to socialize with everybody at once irked her entirely too much. She wasn't ready for that.

"Girl they are outside, you will be ok." Bernice said waving her off as she sat in her husbands lap.

Arielle rolled her eyes as Khalil rubbed her back soothingly.

They weren't back on good terms but they didn't hate one another either.

She felt so weak allowing this man to still have access to her after betraying her but— she loved him.

A knock at the door silenced the minimal murmurs going around the room and Bernice got up to open the door for her eldest daughter and son in law.

"Hey mom," Miracle greeted cheerfully kissing her cheek.

Nate followed suite taking off his jacket and hanging it up before going around the room to greet everyone.

Miracle held gift bags in her hand for each couple and she handed them to Nate to pass out.

"Don't open the bags just yet. I have a small little speech first." They nodded simultaneously and awaited for her to begin.

After Nate passed them all out he took his place back next to Miracle at the front of the room.

Miracle's eyes began to water before she even got a chance to speak.

"Don't start Mir," Harmony said as everybody laughed. Out of all of the girls, Miracle was the sensitive one and Arielle was the least sensitive. Harmony had a healthy balance in between.

"I'm sorry y'all," She chuckled wiping at her eyes. "I wanna start off by saying that I appreciate every one of you that's sitting here today. Y'all have been the best support system to have and I thank y'all for that." She said as she heard coos throughout the room from the women of course. "I want you all to know that it doesn't matter how close we are, what type of bond we have, near and far— that I love you all." Nate nodded his head in agreement. He wasn't much of a talker.

"Y'all can open the bags now." She beamed clasping her hands together in anticipation.

"Oh my God Miracle," Arielle said as she rushed towards her sister. The tears that she had been holding from the speech started to pour down her face.

Each gift bag contained separate items.

Arielle's had two cups that were F•R•I•E•N•D•S themed, reading "The one where you became an aunt," and "The one where you became an uncle," along with an ultrasound and a small onesie that read baby Evans in cursive.

Arielle was the only person that knew about her misfortunes when it came to trying to conceive. They weren't the closest siblings but she trusted her with her life.

"Come here baby," Arielle cooed pulling her into a hug as she cried. "I'm so happy for you, you hear me?" She said pulling away briefly to look at her. She only nodded as she continued to cry.

Everybody else stood around in awe and allowed them to have their moment— congratulating Nate in the meantime.

After they rocked each other back and forth for awhile, everybody else joined them creating a group hug telling Miracle how happy they were that she was gonna give them a second nephew even though they didn't know what she was having yet. Wishful thinking.

Nate was overjoyed at all the love that his wife was receiving knowing that this was something that she had been wanting since they had got married years ago. Her being happy meant everything to him and he was ready to start a family with the love of his life.

He was gonna start looking for a home for them first thing in the morning.

He was grateful that his in laws allowed them to stay bu it was time for them to get out there on their own. They were both grown and raising a baby under their parents roof wasn't the ideal dream.

"Damn this family bout to be a football team," Khalil said breaking the silence earning a laugh from everyone. "Nigga the only reason you don't have the most kids is cause I got twins." Amere bantered. "It doesn't matter how many kids nobody got." Bernice said cutting it short.

She had four kids and it would've been five if her baby hadn't died so she seen nothing wrong with having as many babies as your heart desired. It was a new age thing to talk down on someone for having a lot of kids but that's how it's supposed to be.

"Y'all all are married and that calls for being fruitful and multiplying so that's all that matters." She finished sternly seemingly not seeing the fun in the joke. "Now look... y'all ain't got to go home, but y'all gotta get the hell up outta here," She half joked.

She wanted to go make love to her husband and rejoice about earning another grand baby while at the top of his rollercoaster. He had been giving her that look all night.

"Dang it's like that mama," Amere said going to hug her. "Yup," She said popping the p returning the hug nonetheless.

Everybody gathered there things and hugged one another saying their goodbyes before going to their separate cars and taking their separate paths to get their children and home.

Arielle couldn't stop thinking about her sister and she thanked the man above for everything he does and continues to do even though they sometime didn't deserve it.

Arielle loved her sister and she would've carried a baby for her sister if it got to that point.

She knew how important being a mother was to her and though it wouldn't be the same as carrying one yourself and being able to bond with them, it would still be her blood.

Arielle admired Khalil as he drove and thought about how lucky she was to be a mom and silently thanked him for taking part in that.

Years ago she wanted no parts in being a mother but now, she understood the value and she'd never take having that luxury for granted ever again.
