In the pitch of night: When He Finds You

Chapter 10

Maxius was out in the kitchen with Tryx and Thyme visiting. He really wanted to be with Thalia but he knew he needed to visit with them.
"Earth to the Maxius." Thyme said.
"Hmm." Maxius replied.
"Are you thinking about the Thalia? She is so pretty. I want to get to know her." Thyme said.
"Me the too." Tryx added.
He was so glad that they liked her. It was going to make everything so much easier.
"Yes I was thinking about her, how could I not? She is special to me. She will be around for a long time. So I need you guys to get along with her. So that means no harsh jokes or tricks. We all have to stay together. I don't want you two going out alone anymore. It isn't safe." Maxius told them.
"We like her a lot the Maxius. We really do. We will be good. Promise." Tryx said. "We will be really good. Won't we Thyme?"
"Yes the Maxius. We will be really good."
"You two need to get some rest. We are going to have some busy days ahead of us. We need to prepare for anything that may come our way. Some of it might not be so good."
"G'night." they said in unison.
"Good night you guys."
Then they flew off to their makeshift home that was in one of the top cabinets. It had two small beds made out of throw pillows and blankets made out of soft hand towels and they loved it. It even had a little pin light for the lighting inside of the cabinet for them. They liked sleeping with it on.
He just sat there for a while thinking about what all needed to be done. They needed to make sure Thalia was safe and would always be safe. He just didn't know how to prepare for that. Maybe he needed to get a hold of Vander. Vander was a one hundred year old vampire. He figured that Thalia would feel safer with him. Plus he could always bring Cassara with him. Cassara was his mate. They normally didn't go anywhere without each other.
Grabbing his phone out of his pocket he pulled up the text thread.
Maxius: Can you guys come to the cabin tomorrow? I have someone for you guys to meet. I think she would like to meet the two of you.
About ten minutes later his phone chimed.
Vander: We can be there around one tomorrow. See you then.
That would make everything easier on Thalia. Well he hoped it did. They were really good people and they weren't shifters. So that might be good for Thalia. Plus there would be another girl here with her.
