In the pitch of night: When He Finds You

Chapter 17

Walking through the front door Thalia was in complete shock. You walked right into a large living room. It was an all open floor plan. You could see all the way to the kitchen and dining room. In the living room there was a large overstuffed black couch. With matching recliners and loveseat. There was a coffee table and end tables done in black metal and glass. Then there was a large tv hanging on the wall. Then through the living room to the dining room there was a long six seater table. Then in the kitchen it looked like it had all new appliances. The home was breathtaking in a very homey way. It was perfect. It was something she would live in if she never had to run again.
"How many bedrooms does this have?"
"It has four on the top floor and four in the basement. It is big enough for all of us." Maxius replied.
Then Thyme and Tryx took off. "Come the Thalia. We show you the home. Our home."
Following them to what looked like a walk in closet in the living room. Thyme opened a little door. Inside was amazing. There was a shelf at the top like a loft that had little beds. On the beds were tiny pillows and blankets. Under the loft was like a little living room.the living room had a little chandelier. There was a tiny couch and loveseat and a recliner. The living room looked like a smaller version of the big living room. It was a little home inside of a larger one. And how cute was that?
"Oh my god!" Thalia exclaimed. "How cute is that. I love your home you two. It is amazing."
"Thank the you, the Thalia. You the best." Tryx said. "We love our little home. The Maxius takes the care of us."
Looking over her shoulder Thalia glanced at Maxius with a small smile. "You did a very good job on the little house."
Maxius was so glad that Thalia seemed to be getting back to normal. So maybe it wasn't the vibe thing. He would talk to her about it tonight.
"Oh my god." Liliana said. "This house is amazing. You never showed me this place. I have only seen your cabin."
Didn't that just make Thalia happy. She liked knowing Liliana hadn't been here before. That just made her day. Maybe they weren't lovers. That would make her feel even better.
"Right. I don't think any of us have been here." Bellatrix said.
"I have." Cassara said. "Vander and I have been here a few times."
"We have been here too." Traynor said. Talking about her and Cade.
"This is my safe haven a lot of people haven't been here before." Maxius said.
When everyone was gathered in the living room they all started to look around. The place was really nice. Some people seemed shocked that Maxius had a place like this.
"Everyone go and pick your rooms. I know the couples are going to sleep together. So there will be room for more guests. I am going to try and get a hold of some other people in our group. If they come people will have to pair up."
"I call Maxius as my other part of the pair." Liliana said.
Like hell Thalia thought. "Maxius and I are sleeping together." Thalia said, staking her claim on him. There was no way this hoochy was going to shove her out of the way. She usually wasn't so bitchy but damn she could only take so much. Plus this bitch has a way about her that Thalia didn't like.
"Now Maxius. I called you first." Liliana said. "You know you want to be my partner."
"Lilana stop it now. Stop trying to make Thalia mad. You know we are just friends. Now cut the shit out." Maxius said. "You know it isn't like that between us. Now stop trying to make Thalia think that there is."
That is when Thyme flew over to Liliana and poked her with her little knife drawing blood from her forearm. Then poked her in the other arm. Then Thyme flew up and pulled Liliana's hair. Liliana started slapping at Thyme. Trying to get her to stop. Nothing was working though. Thyme was quick in evading the hits. She would dive low then climb back up in the air and pull her hair again. Then Tryx joined in on the attack. Attacking from the otherside. He actually punched Liliana in the nose. Then he started to pull her hair.
"Thyme, Tryx. You need to stop now. It is ok." Thalia said. "Stop you guys."
When that didn't work she went up to Liliana. Thyme and Tryx were so engrossed in their attack that they didn't see Thalia. Thaila plucked them right out of the air. They were both out of breath and flushed from the exertion. However it was sweet they did it for her. But she was glad that none of Liliana slaps had hit one of them.
"Its ok guys. Thank you. But it is ok." Thalia told them. She cradled each one in one of her arms. Trying to calm them. Their little hearts were beating so hard.
"We the protectors." Tryx said. "We the protectors."
"She not the friend. She not the friend no more." Thyme said.
"That you guys are. You are great protectors." Thalia said.
Looking up from Thyme and Tryx she looked over to Liliana her hair was a mess and she had two scratches on both of her arms. At least they were just scratches. She really should not condone their actions however it was kind of sweet. Then Thalia glanced at Maxius. He looked mad. Thalia didn't know if he was mad at Thyme and Tryx or if he was mad at Liliana.
"That was a hell of a show." the quiet Coleman said. "Those imps don't play when it comes to Thalia."
Once Thyme and Tryx caught their breath they perched on Thalia's shoulders and mean mugged Liliana.
"Leave the Thalia and the Maxius alone." they said in unison to Liliana. "You not the friend anymore. We not the like you."
Turning to Maxius, Tryx added, "She not the friend the Maxius."
"Ok, ok. Everyone calm down. We need to keep cool heads right now."  Cade said. "Thyme, Tryx you two can protect Thalia but there is a time and place for that. Right Maxius?"
"Yes there is a time and place. We don't need any in house fighting. We have plenty of enemies on the outside. Liliana I told you to stop. Do you understand now?"
"Yes Maxius. Thalia I am sorry I was just trying to get a rise out of you. Maxius and I don't have anything going on. I am truly sorry."
