Standing in front of thirty or so others. She was handcuffed still. At least she didn't have a bag over her head anymore. There wasn't much she could do yet. She had to figure out something though. She just had to wait for the right moment.
"So where should we start?" Ezekiel asked.
Not actually looking for an answer though. So she answered anyway. "How about letting us go."
"Not very likely. I think we will keep the both of you. We have a place where we can keep you. However I do have questions. How many people are in your group?"
Thalia didn't know if she should exaggerate or not. So she just shrugged. That earned her a hit so hard she ended up sprawled on the ground with no way to catch herself. She landed hard.
"Bastard." she mumbled.
"One more time." He said, yanking her back to her feet. "Oh your bleeding." He added wiping at her lip. "How many are in your group?"
One more shrug for the win. This time she was snatched by her ponytail. "I will never tell you. Do what you will." She said, jutting out her chin.
That earned her another slap across the face. Again down on the ground. She spit the blood out of her mouth. God damn the smacks were starting to hurt. She would heal soon enough though. Maybe she could work him up and he would start talking. She needed to find out where they were. To find out how far away they were from Salem.
Yanking her up again he hit Thalia again. Then she was shoved into another males hands to hold her back. Then they were bringing up Psyche. She already knew what was going to be next. They were going to try and get answers from her. Either that or they would torture her to get answers from Thalia. Hell Psyche was still gagged. How would she answer questions.
"These two females are the enemies. They will do anything to get free. We will not be letting them go though." There were cheers from everyone in the group. "We are here to take over Salem." then there were more cheers. "We will rule over all the others." even more cheers. "We just need answers first before we go to war."
What the hell, Thalia thought. How did he get all these people to follow him. There was no way they were all really with him. They really needed to get free and get free now. This was going to end up badly. A lot of people were going to die and get hurt.
"You are going to lose." Thalia said loudly to the group. "Get out while you can. Choose the right side."
"Shut the fuck up bitch." the man behind her said, giving her a shake hard enough to crack her teeth together.
"Fuck you." the hit from Ezekiel was closed fist this time. She didn't hit the ground this time though. The hold on her was too strong. That hit made her see stars however.
Instead of him hitting her again he went for Psyche. He hit Psyche so hard she skidded on the ground and landed in a heap. All Psyche could do was make a small noise because of the gag in her mouth.
"Stop. Stop. leave her alone." Thalia yelled, when he brought his leg back to kick her. "You don't have to do this. I will tell you everything you want to know."
She wasn't going to let Psyche get hurt because of her. She would lie though. She would never tell him the truth.
"Ok now let us see. How many people are in your group?" Ezekiel said, with an evil smile on his face.
"Fourteen. Including us." she answered.
"That's it? How do you think you would win against us? We are many in number. There are still more to come."
How to answer that question. How to answer. "We probably wouldn't win." she answered.
"You are right. You would not win. There is no way you could. I learned in my trials that you can use the help of the others. That a pack doesn't have to be just shifters."
Looking out at the crowd all the shifters' eyes started to change to a yellowish orange color. There were only about ten shifters in his so-called pack. The rest of them must be witches and vampires. So the shifters were small in numbers. Maybe she could make the others see the wrong that they were doing. She just needed to talk more.
"I thought you didn't work with the others? I thought you were a shifter only group." Thalia said. "What made you change your mind?"
"Oh you know. What better way to win. That is the reason I wanted you for so long. You are so special and you don't even realize it yet. However you will soon." He said, walking up to her and caressing her face.  "What others do you have in your group?"
"We have vampires, shifters and witches." she answered no reason to lie about that. He probably could have guessed that. Hell he already had a vamp and a witch.
"Good job. One last question. Why Salem?"
Damn that one she was going to have to lie about. She couldn't tell him they were here because of Xavier. She had to come up with something. "We came here because we were trying to find you." she answered. "We wanted to spy on you. We heard from an imp you were headed this way."
"And what would this imp's name be?"
"Well I don't know the imp. It kind of came down a grapevine. Like an imp told an imp that told us. So we were just going on a hope that you would be in Salem. So I answered your questions. Can I ask you one?"
"Sure. not that I will answer but I want to know what your question is." the big bastard answered.
"Why did you come to Salem?" She already knew the reason for it. She just wanted to hear it from his own mouth.
"That I will not answer. The only thing you need to know is all will pay." He replied.
What the fuck does that mean, she wondered. Who was going to pay and why. She really needed to get them out of here. There was no way they could take on thirty shifters, witches, and vampires though.
The next thing that happened was another bag being put over her head and she was led somewhere else. There was a thunk of her hitting the ground after her being shoved. Then there was another thunk that must be Psyche. Then there was a loud clunking noise. It sounded like a door being shut. Then there were muffled voices on the other side of the door.
"We go at dawn." one of the voices said.
"I can't believe we made it this far without being caught. Then to top it off we have her. Well we have two of them. There is no way they can beat us now."
Then there were footsteps leading away from where they were put. All she could smell was dry air, dirt, and dust. They must have put them in one of the ground keepers sheds.
"We need to get free." Thalia whispered.
Then there was a muffled reply. She couldn't decipher what was said. Maybe a yes. Or a how. Then she started to move around trying to get close to Psyche. She needed to get her bag off her head and the gag from her mouth.
"Psyche I am going to try and get the bag and gag off of you. I am going to scoot closer to you."
Laying on her side with her back hopefully towards Psyche she started to scooch upward where her hands would be level with her head. Once she was in place she started to struggle with the bag trying to hind where the ties were. They had to be somewhere. It was a hard task with a blindfold and your hands chained behind your back. However eventually she got it. Then it was time to get the gag. Reaching up again she found Psyche mouth and started to work the gag trying to get it loose. She bet Psyche wished she had fangs right about now.
"Almost got it. Almost got it. There." Thalia said.
"Thank the goddess. That was getting on my nerves." Psyche said as soon as the gag was out of her mouth. "Let me get the bag off of your head now."
"That would be awesome."
There was some rearranging and a little bit of a struggle but after a few moments the next thing Thalia knew was she could see. Psyche didn't look too hurt. Thank fuck. Looking around they were in a shed. There were all kinds of lawn tools. And lawn mowers and what nots. Now only if they could get their chains off. That would be awesome.
"Thalia your face." Psyche exclaimed. "What happened?"
"I was used for a punching bag when I wouldn't answer them. It is ok though. It doesn't hurt too bad anymore."
Hell with everything going on she had almost forgotten about it. The only thing she was worried about right now was getting free. They had until a little after dawn to figure out how. But they needed to be quiet. There was no telling if they would come back.
"We need to get free." Psyche whispered.
"We will. We have to warn them. They have about thirty in numbers now. They will win if we don't find help."
