In the pitch of night: When He Finds You

Chapter 28

When they finally arrived in Salem they found a place to stay. They ended up staying in a hotel. No one owned property in Salem.
"We need to make sure our rooms are by eachother." Thalia said. "The imps are staying with us. You guys can partner up anyway you guys want to."
"That's a great idea. The closer the better." Psyche said. "I want the room next to Maxius and Thalia."
"I will stay with Psyche." Cazmir said.
That's when everyone split into pairs. There were eight pairs. They ended up only getting four rooms. Psyche and Cazmir were in Thalia's and Maxius's room. Then it was Ajax, Bellatrix, Traynora, and Cade. Then there was Cassara, Vander, Coleman, and Liliana. Shade and Jace got their own room. Maxius was glad they made it in time. Plus it looked like they had beaten Ezekiel and his pack here.
"We need four rooms next to each other. We need them with two king or two queen size beds in them." Maxius said.
"Oh yes sir. We can do that." The male at the front desk said. "What floor would you like?"
"The first level please."
When they got all their card keys they all headed to the rooms with their bags. Once Maxius, Thalia, Psyche and Cazmir were in the room they all settled in. The imps were all looking for the spots they would be sleeping in. They all chose a drawer to sleep in.
"Hey I am getting hungry." Psyche said. "I am going to go and get something to eat out of the vending machine."
"That is not safe. We need to stick together." Maxius said.
"I will go with her." Thalia said. "We won't be gone long. We will be safe together. She is a witch and I am an ass kicking vampire."
"Ok ok. Y'all can go. Just be quick about it." Maxius said. "Take Thyme and Tryx with you guys. Actually take all of the imps if they want to go. They can be look out for y'all."
"We will be fine." Psyche said. "We will be quick."
What the hell, Maxius thought to himself. Maybe they shouldn't send the girls to go. But he didn't want her to feel like he didn't think she could take care of herself. "Please take Tryx and Thyme. They are both still awake."
"Ok fine. Come on you guys lets go get you and Psyche some snacks. Cazmir do you want anything?" Thalia asked.
"We want the snacks." Thyme and Tryx said in unison. 
"No I am fine for now." Then he looked at Psyche.
Maybe they had something going on Maxius thought. They sure looked like it. They were both staring at each other. That's when Thalia came and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.
"We will be right back." She whispered.
Then they were heading to the door and all Maxius could do was chant to himself. They will be ok. They will be ok.
"Dude chill it isn't like they are leaving the building. Psyche is a witch with a massive amount of power. Plus your little vamp has been taking care of herself for how long? They will be fine." Cazmir chided him.
