In the pitch of night: When He Finds You

Chapter 34

Back at the tower. They were all still in deep discussion on what they needed to be doing. Maxius hated that they still weren't out doing anything. He needed to be doing something. Instead they were sitting here looking at maps.
"I think I know where they could be." Vander said, from his seat to Maxius's left. "I think they would be in this abandoned cemetery. Well that is where I would go anyways."
That was a good idea. There wouldn't be anyone around this late at night. Plus if it was abandoned there definitely wouldn't be anyone there.
"That is a great idea." Cazmir answered when Maxius didn't. "There are two abandoned cemeteries. We should spit up in two groups and go to each one. How many people do you have Xavier? Well people you can lend."
"I have over two hundred fighters. However I don't think we will need that many and if we do they will be on standby. I think we should take about twenty in each group, maybe twenty five. If we run into more people or we need more people the cemeteries aren't that far from each other we can always meet at the other one if that is where they are." Xavier said.
As soon as Xavier was done talking Maxius was out of his seat. "I think we need to send the imps in first. They can fly in and see if they see anyone and fly back out if they do. We can wait at a meeting point in between the cemeteries. The vampires can teleport in first and the shifters and witches can come in by car."
"That sounds like a great idea." Cazmir said. "Let's go."
"Let me get my people together and we can go." Then he turned to Dixen and said. "Dixen go and round up the top forty people we have. Tell the others they are on standby." then Dixen was out the door. "Does anyone need weapons?"
"No. I think we are all good on weapons." Ajax said, pulling out his gun. "We know these assholes aren't going to fight fair."
Then they were all getting up and joining Maxius. All the imps were hovering around him waiting to be told what to do. They were ready also.
"We go get the Thalia and the Psyche back now?" Thyme asked.
"Yes now we go and get them back." Maxius answered.
Then they were all headed down to the elevator to head back downstairs. It was about damn time he thought. He was so ready to be doing something. He was ready to get them both back.
"What will we be the doing?" Tryx asked.
"You, Thyme, and Tatum will be going into one cemetery and Mai, Drude and Ivy will be going to the other one. You all will be looking for people there. And when you find the people you come tell us and we all go in together. Whatever you do, don't get too close. You see people and others you come and tell us right away. You do not ingage. Not even if you see Thalia and Psyche. Do you understand?"
"Yes the Maxius. We the understand." They said in unison.
"You could send my imps in also, you know." Liliana said to Maxius.
"We don't want too many going in at once. We need to be cautious." plus I still don't trust you, he added to himself. "Thank you though."
He was going to have to keep a close eye on her. He thought. She might be up to something after what had happened at the house with the imps and her. He might just be paranoid but he had a feeling someone was telling Ezekiel and the pack where they were and what they were doing. Nevertheless Liliana was the only one he could think of that would have a reason to do it. He would make sure Liliana would be in his group.
"Who is taking which cemetery? We need to hurry and get there." Cazmir said.
Then they were all splitting up into groups and getting ready to head to the door when someone's phone went off. It was Jace's phone. The look on his face told him all he needed to know on who it was. It had to be Ezekiel.
"Answer it." Cazmir said. "And try your best to sound normal."
"What's up boss." Was Jace's hello. "Oh you know. Yeah. Ok. I will stay in Colorado. Yeah. Hell yeah you finally got the bitch. Man you should let me come to Salem. Ok. Yeah I will call later."
You could hear the disembodied voice on the other end of the phone. And that voice sounded too pleased with itself. Maxius was too ready to put him in his place. He would learn not to take what was his.
Once the phone call ended Maxius said. "He is mine and no one elses. I am going to be the one that makes him pay for his mistakes."
"You got it." Cazmir said, placing his hand on Maxius's shoulder.
It just so happened that Jace and Liliana were in his and Cazmir's group. He was happy about that. At least with Jace in their group if Ezekiel called back he would know.
"Jace keep us informed if you hear from him again. We need to know if he plans on moving or what not."
"You got it. And just so you know you and Cazmir are the bosses." Jace said. "I rather serve the two of you for hundreds of years than to serve him for a second more. I am just a foot soldier to him. I am better than his second and he knows it."
"That is why we trust you." Maxius said. "But enough talking. It is time to get out of here. Who's ready?"
When everyone cheered. They were heading out the door. They all knew their groups and what cemetery they were going to. Now all they had to do was find the piece of shit and take him out once and for all. Maxius didn't like to kill people or others, however he was going to take pleasure in taking Ezekiel and his men out. And he would make sure every last one of them paid for what they did. And if they hurt Thalia or Psyche they would suffer before they died.
