Chapter 18

Once everything got settled down they all went to their rooms. Tryx and Thyme stayed with them for the time being. They would go to their little home later.
The bedroom had a huge California king bed in the middle of one wall. There were two night stands on either side of the bed. With a huge dresser in the middle of the wall at the foot of the bed with a tv mounted above it.
"I am truly sorry about Liliana. I don't know what her problem was earlier." Maxius said.
He couldn't believe she acted like that. There had never been anything between them. She was just being a bitch. She had always wanted something from him but he didn't see her like that. She wasn't his type. The woman laying next to him in bed was for sure though.
"It's ok. Some people just get into their feelings. However she is a bitch. I don't like her. I don't like her at all. She needs to stay away from me. On the other hand I can't believe Thyme and Tryx acted that way." She said glancing at them stretched out on one of the pillows on the bed.
Thyme popped her head up and said. "We the protectors. We protect what's the ours." Then Thyme added. "She not the friend. She the bitch now."
"I second the that. The bitch is what she is." Tryx added.
Thalia would never get over the way they used the word the. She didn't understand why they did that. But it was cute as hell. They loved the word the.
"You guys don't need to attack people unless they are bad men or women. Especially if they are just saying mean stuff." Thalia said. "But it's getting late you guys should head to bed."
"Yeah. You guys need some sleep. Plus Thalia needs to feed. And so do I." He said with a wink towards Thalia.
"Oh the man. We not the tired." Tryx said, getting into a sitting position. "We not the tired."
They did however get up and fly away after they gave Thalia and Maxius a kiss on the cheek. Once they were out of the room they both were quiet for a minute or so. Maxius was the first one to break the silence.
"Thalia you don't know how sorry I am for the way she acted. I know I have already said this but I felt the need to say it again." Maxius said.
Leaning over she gave him a peck on the mouth. "There is nothing to be sorry for. Everything worked out in the end. I am just sorry that Thyme and Tryx attacked her. They seem to be very territorial. Especially when it comes to me."
"That is just their nature. They kind of just claim people. There are a few more pairs that come around; they usually don't stay long though. They are Tryx's and Thyme's friends."
"I would love to meet them. I want to see more of them. I have seen them around. I just never had a chance to actually meet them. I love Tryx and Thyme though. I think I will just keep them for myself. They seem to love me too. In the words of them they are the mine the now."
Maxius busted out laughing. "I guess they kind of are yours. The way they acted with Liliana I would say that they most definitely are yours. That is enough talk about that. We need to feed and be strong for tomorrow. You will be meeting more people tomorrow."
"Is there anyone else I need to be worried about?" thalia said. When she got a cocked eyebrow in return she added. "Like with what happened with Liliana."
"No there won't be anything else like that. I promise. Now it is time for you to feed then I will go feed. I have a pitcher of blood in the kitchen."
"Well I think I am going to drink out of the pitcher tonight too. We both need to keep our strength and I think I will try to feed off of some human tomorrow too. You can't be around though."
"What you don't want to feed from me." he said with a wink.
"It's not that. You know what happens when I feed from you and there is a house full of people. Plus I don't get that way feeding from other people." she said. "Plus I am pretty sure it won't happen when I drink from a pitcher." she added with a teasing smile.
"That you have right. You know exactly what would happen if you fed from me. However what if I told you we will do that without us even feeding?" Maxius said with a seductive smile.
"I would call you nuts." Then Thalia straddled his hips while he was laid back on the pillows. "Are you sure this is the right thing to do? We could wake up other people."
"You don't think the couples are doing the same thing?"
He did have a point. They probably were. She started to kiss down his neck. Then down his collar bone. Then back up. "You do taste pretty good." Thalia said. "But no not tonight." she said with a smile and pretended like she was going to get off from the top of him. She didn't make it very far before Maxius flipped her to her back.
"Now where do you think you are going you tease?"
