After they all fed and got that over with. The vampires all joined the kitchen table with the shifters and the witches. It was time to get down to business without the fighting. He wasn't going to deal with the fighting again. Maxius was tired of it. He really was starting to feel like they needed to spit up. However he was worried about doing that. What if one of them was the one telling Ezekiel where they were. He didn't think they were but you never know.
Once he was at the head of the table with Thalia sitting right next to him on the right he started to talk. "Like we all know the pack is heading to Salem. So they are heading away from us. However when they find out she isn't there they might start the searching again. Me and Thalia were talking and she thinks we need to be further away from Texas. I think we need to head to Oregon. So I think we need to take a vote. All that want to stay here raise their hands."
Thirteen people raised their hands. So I guess they were staying. Maybe it would be for the better. They could always run later if need be. They just needed to figure out what the next step was now that they were staying put.
"I think we should meet them in Salem. You have to think the leader of the vampires lives there. He could help us finally take him out. Then we will never have to deal with him again." Coleman said.
That wasn't a bad idea Maxius thought but how would they all get there in time. There were so many of them. They would have to drive where they wouldn't be tracked.
"Me want to the go." Thyme whispered in Thalia ear. Even though everyone at the table could hear her.
"If we go you are definitely going. I will take you guys wherever I go. I promise." Thalia whispered back.
"I think you guys are right. I think we need to head to Salem. I think it will be the safer bet. The only way he can be in charge is if he kills Xavier. And Xavier won't take that lying down. I bet he will be willing to fight with us if we need it." Maxius said.
Thalia wasn't sure that was the right move to make. She would go along with it if it was what everyone else wanted to make. She wanted it to be the right decision though. However they did have a lot of people here. That was a lot of people to transport. Then she got up from the table.
"I am going to step outside. I need some fresh air." Thalia said.
"I don't think that is a good idea. I think we all need to stay together still. The Salem thing might be fake. We don't know who told them that. Jace said he overheard them talking about going to Salem. He doesn't know who told them you were in Salem."
"It isn't going to hurt anything for me to step outside. I will take someone with me." she looked around the room to see who she should take with her outside. She decided she liked the way Shade and Psyche looked. They were both clad in leather and had their hair pulled up in high ponytails. They looked like they could both fight. Maxius would feel better if they looked mean maybe.
"Thalia be reasonable. You don't need to go outside. Go sit next to a window. We will be leaving soon and you can get fresh air then. We are heading to Salem." Maxius said. As soon as the words left his mouth he knew he had fucked up. Completely fucked up.
Thalia didn't like the way he talked to her like she was a child. Like she was being irate or something. All she wanted to do was go outside. There wasn't anything wrong with that. She could take care of herself. It wasn't like she didn't have her weapons. She had been taking care of herself a long time.
"Excuse me?" Thalia said.
"Look Thalia. Come here." Maxius said standing up. When he reached for her hand she jerked it away.
"Oh, the Maxius the fucked up." Thyme said. "Don't you know we the ass kickers."
"I know. I know. Y'all are ass kickers. I know. I didn't mean what I said. It wasn't supposed to sound that way. Come on Thalia. Come with me real quick."
Standing up with a huff she stomped off to the bedroom. When the imps started to follow she told them to stay out in the kitchen. Then she told them she would be right back.
