Finally Thalia thought. She was finally going to be able to question him. She was going to find out why he killed her parents. Maybe it really wasn't her fault. He was the only one that could clear that up for her.
Walking out of the elevator there was a large open room. With corridors going in different directions. They followed instructions and entered the one that was labeled cells. The corridor was long. On either side there were cells. There had to be about forty cells on each side.
Walking down all the inmates she guessed you could call them. Or maybe prisoners. She really wasn't sure what to call them. They were all sitting on cots. In each cell there was a toilet, a sink and a cot. Around the sink and toilet you could pull a curtain closed if you wanted to. Some of them were crying, the others looked down right pissed off. If she took a guess the ones crying were the ones that were strong armed into joining Ezekiel.
Down at the end of the corridor there was Ezekiel. His cell was the last one. It was in the back in between the last two cells on either side. When he looked up her steps faltered. He had the most maniacal smile on his face. He looked down right evil. When her steps faltered he began to laugh. Then Thalia paused and stared at him. You could feel the evil radiate from him. You could feel it seeping into your soul. There was no way he could ever be let free. He would just continue to torment people. There was no way around it; he had to die one way or another.
"There, there little one." Ezekiel said. "The big bad wolf is locked up. It won't be for long though. I will get free and get you again." Then he laughed maniacally again.
She hated that man at that moment. Not that she didn't hate him before. She just hated him even more in that moment.
"You son of a bitch. You are going to pay." Thalia said in the most menacing voice she could muster up. "You don't look too bad ass chained down to that table now do you. It is time for me to do what you did to me." she mustered the last from somewhere deep down.
She knew she couldn't show weakness. She had to be the badass she normally was. She had to reach down deep to find it. This was the man she had been running from. The bane of her existence. And here he was chained down and smiling like he knew something she didn't. She would find out what he knew. She really would.
Once they were standing right in front of the cell she calmed down. She just chanted over and over again. He can't hurt me now. He can't hurt me now. Then she looked at him. Truly looked at him. She had never gotten a good clear look at him. After all she was being tortured while he had her. He had long matted black hair. His eyes were the scary part. They were deep green and soulless. You could tell he cared for nothing and no one. He would do whatever needed to be done to get what he wanted. He had high cheekbones and full lips. If it wasn't for the eyes and the long jagged scar from his right eye to his chin he would be good looking. Then she started to wonder what had happened to him to make him this way. But hell maybe he was just born this way. Some people were just born evil.
"Come alone. Come alone. Closer little one. I have a secret to tell you." Ezekiel said maniacally then he laughed again.
"Don't let him get to you Thalia." Maxius whispered and ran his hand down her arm. "He is just trying to get a reaction out of you. Don't give it to him."
"I will try not to." Then she was on tip toes and she kissed Maxius on the cheek. Time to get to business she thought to herself.
Taking a step then another towards the cell she was up to the cell right in front of Ezekiel. He was strapped to a metal table. His arms were outstretched and chained at the elbow and wrist. He had two big chains wrapped around his torso and one at his hips. His feet were chained together at the foot of the table. Then there were chains around his ankles and his knees. The table was in a position where it looked like he was standing up. The only thing he could move was his head. Which was off the table and looking right into her eyes. Like he was trying to get closer to her. Thank the goddess that was all he could move.
"So little one. Do you want to know a secret?" he whispered wickedly. "The secret is a good one you know. I actually have a few secrets for you. However Maxius can't hear them. Come in the cell."
Glancing over her shoulder she looked at Maxius. He gave a slight nod of the head. Then he was handing over the key card. She slid it through the reader and handed it back to Maxius just in case he needed to get to her. There was no telling what he was going to say or do. Then she was walking through the cell door. She was right in front of him. He gave another wicked smile flashing teeth that had been filed into points. Every last one of them was a sharp point. She was just able to hold back her gasp. Why the hell did he do that to himself, she wondered.
"What is the first secret?" she demanded.
"Come just a little closer. I won't bite." He said flashing those god awful pointed teeth.
"Thalia." Maxius said.
Looking over her shoulder she said. "It will be ok." Then she was stepping even closer to Ezekiel. Then to Ezekiel she added. "Tell me. We are not playing your games."
"The first and most important secret is... Oh how do I tell you this. This might ruin everything for you." Then he looked past her to Maxius and then back to her. "You are so special. One so special that I am surprised no one else is trying to get you too." he gave a pointed look at Maxius.
"Just say what you have to say." Thalia demanded again.
"Ok. Ok. You are part demon." When she showed no reaction he glanced back at Maxius. "The demon part isn't the most important part. The most important part is the fact there are only about fifteen of you alive at this time. They usually don't survive birth. Only the males do."
I am not alone there are more like me, she thought. With a small smile she said. "Is that your secret? I already knew that." well not all of it. But most of it. He did answer one of the questions she was going to ask Maxius though.
"That is only one of the secrets. But do you realize how strong your offspring would be if you mated a shifter. They wouldn't be just hybrids they would be tribrids. They would be so powerful no one would fuck with them. They would have the strength of a demon, the disappearing thing vamps do, and they could partially shift. They would be unstoppable."
"That sounds scary in your hands. You are not a good person. What is your second secret?"
While she stood there for what seemed like hours she thought he wasn't going to tell her. She was totally stoked about there being more people like her. Maybe she wasn't alone after all. But hell he could be lying and she could be the only one. Why else wouldn't he go after one of the other ones if there were more. Damn it, she thought. Maybe he was lying. She wasn't going to show her disappointment though.
"That is where you are wrong. I have only done to people what was done to me."
Now she knew he was lying. Then why was he following her and torturing her for. There was no reason for him to do that to her. Like he said he wanted tribrids. He wanted what he wanted and that was it. He had to be lying. There was no way he wasn't.
"Give me the other secrets or Maxius is coming in."
"Fine. He can come in. you both will want to hear the next two." Then he laughed again.
This man was evil to the core she thought. There was no way he wasn't. He has to be lying about everything. She couldn't trust this man. Plus she couldn't believe she had gotten her hopes up. What a joke.
