Y/N's POV

"Naruto, do you know him already?" Sakura asked Naruto

"Yeah, this jerk attacked y/n and me for no reason when we were with Choji, Ino and Shikamaru today" Naruto said pointing to Sai and he put his foot on the step

Sakura turned to face Sai with a look of anger, Naruto throwing his arm out, grabbing the Kunai that slid form his sleeve, Sai grabbing his weapon in return.

"That's enough, Naruto" Yamato said to Naruto

"Huh?, oh yeah, who are you, anyway?" Naruto asked Yamato

"I literally said his name a few seconds ago" I said with a huff

'Does no one listen to me?' I asked myself in thought

"Oh wait, are you—" Sakura stuttered out

"I'll be filling in as team captain while Kakashi's recovering in the hospital, please, call me Yamato" Yamato said looking at all of us with his beady eyes

"Captain Yamato" Sakura said, testing out how is sounded

"You four are going to be comrades now, so you'd better learn to get along with each other" Yamato said which made Sakura and Naruto gasp

"You're joking, comrades with him?" Naruto said point to Sai who's face went from serious to a fake smile

"I'm sorry about earlier but, you see, I knew we were going to be teammates and I wanted to see how strong you were" Sai said to Naruto and me

"Oh, well, that was pretty stupid, you didn't have to go that far" Naruto said as the Kunai retracted back into his sleeve by the string it was being held by, not feeling comfortable with Sai

"I was just curious to see how strong you'd be, now I know you're not packing anything major, well, besides y/n seeing as she bruised my back pretty bad" Sai said looking at me

"Wait she was the one that gave you that bruise?" Yamato asked in surprise, looking at me

"Yeah whatever, stop disrespecting Naruto, I accept you as a comrade and maybe we can even be friends, but I don't tolerate anyone messing with Naruto" I said with a hum, looking Sai dead in the eyes to let him know I was being serious

"What did you just say?" Naruto said, Sakura holding him back from fighting Sai

"We have to work together with this guy, you can't start off fighting from the get-go" Sakura said to Naruto

"And the same goes for you, that wasn't very nice" Sakura said to Sai who just laughed

"Is that so?" Sai asked sassily

"Sakura, let him go" I told her

"But he'll attack Sai" Sakura said looking at me and she held a still raging Naruto

"I got it, you can let him go" I said with a nod to her

Sakura let him go, Naruto going to attack Sai but I stopped him, holding my arm out in front of him.

"You're not winning any friends with talk like that" Sakura told Sai

"Well, don't write me off yet, I like everyone, even you, ugly" Sai said to Sakura

"Uh, what did you just say?" Sakura asked him, going to attack Sai herself, Yamato holding her back

"Whoa, easy, Sakura, follow your own advice" Yamato said as he held Sakura back

"Everyone move now" I said calmly, just wanting to get to Sai
