Naruto's POV

I looked down at Pain, back in Sage mode, me and him staring at each other, the wall saying something that I couldn't hear.

Just the the rock I was standing in started crumbling and falling down, making me have to jump rock to rock to prevent me getting smashed by them.

'Transformation into the Nine-Tails disturbed my chakra, it made me lose my last Shadow Clone at Mount Myoboku' I thought to myself as I kept jumping up on the rocks

'That means I can only use the Sage Jutsu chakra that I have left inside me' I thought

I landed down on a rock looking out into the open, seeing Pain just standing there, my eyes widening on their own.

"I thought I was gonna die" Katsuyu said as she climbed out of my jacket

"Wait, what's that?, the village is over that way" I asked looking over to some smoke that was rising in the air, where the village is

"What is-" I said

"You did that, Naruto, when you were in Nine-Tails state" Katsuyu told which me which made me gasp, my mind flashing to Hinata

'Did I kill Hinata, and all the people of the Leaf Village?' I thought to myself as my eyes narrowed

'She's alive, I can sense Hinata's chakra' I thought in shock

"I was quite worried but no casualties resulted from your assault even though you were in full Nine-Tails state, we were lucky" Katsuyu informed me which made me sigh in relief

"Oh, thank goodness, you don't know what a relief that is" I said as I let the tears flow, there was so much happening and it all stems from me, everyone is dying because of me

I wiped my eyes and glared at Pain, I'm going to put an end to this, he has to die, it's all his fault, he took them.

"The time has come for us to end this" He yelled to me

I jumped down from the rocks standing as we looked each other from the distance we had between each other.

"Do you finally comprehend pain?" He asked me

'No but you will' My brain played y/n's voice, giving a response that she would have said in this moment

'I need to focus, I can't think about her right now' I thought to myself

"Unless you come to know the same pain, you cannot truly comprehend someone else and even if you comprehend them, you still may not ever agree with them, that is the truth" Pain said to me

"That is the reason it's useless for you to chase after Sasuke" Pain said, which made me close my eyes

"Enough of this, just take me to where the real Pain is, I want to talk to him face-to-face now" I said as I opened my eyes again, glaring at him

"So, you figured that part out, did you?, first Jiraiya-sensei and y/n, and now you as well, you Leaf Ninja are really quite impressive" Paim said to me as he made a rod

"But our discussion's over, further conversation will change absolutely nothing, I'll kill you then go kill Jiraiya" Pain said to me as he held the rod to his side

"I just want to discuss something with him" I told Pain

"You're in Sage Mode now, I believe that you are limited to generating only two of those bothersome chakra shuriken at a time, is that so?" Pain asked as he walked up to me

"And that causes your Sage Mode to run out" He said walking closer

"I guess I have no choice but to fight you, huh?" I asked him

"If both your shuriken should miss, the only possible outcome is that you shall lose, you'll have no more chances, I will take you almost to the point of death and haul you off" He said as he then ran at me

"Well that's too bad, I'll find the real Pain myself, then" I said as I got into a fighting stance

"But how are you going to do that?" Katsuyu asked me

"I've got an idea" I told her as I focused on Pain

Pain arm with the rod shot towards me in quick and swift motion, dodging it I took a good hold on it, breaking it and sending Pain flying into the rocks, the man's body flopping down as I landed, rod in hand.

Using the rod I stabbed myself in the shoulder with it, feeling where the chakra was coming from, tracking exactly where he was at.

"Ha, I found him" I said looking in that direction

"You bastard" Pain said to me as he got up

"Shadow clone jutsu" I said after I took the rod out of my shoulder, throwing it down

Me and the clones came together, the two clones using smoke bombs while I held the Rasenshuriken, I laughed the first one and then sent another following behind it, the first one only being a shadow shuriken.

'The window is five seconds, I can do this' I said to myself as I had to exit Sage Mode

My clones were pinned down with a rod but I already knew that I had hidden a bunch of my shadow clones under the rocks, he must have not know I can summon more than three clones.

"We still have two seconds, go" One of my clones yelled

I watched as the clones were pushed back, some being pushed back with me, my clones coming together to try and stop me for flying back, acting as my backup.

"You, with no answers and no solutions, just give up" Pain yelled at me in anger

'But I truly believe the day will come when all people understand one another and live in peace, if I can't find a solution to this problem, then perhaps I'll entrust you to find it instead, Naruto' Pervy Sage's words ran in my head

'In certain that you'll be able to find the answer because I believe in you completely' My father words rang after Jiraiya's

'It's because I truly believe that you are the only Shinobi who can surpass the Fourth Hokage' Kakashi's voice rang

'I believe in you Naru, I know you'll be Hokage one day, don't give up' Y/n's words rang in last, her words hitting me the hardest because k remember when it was

I was when I first told her I wanted her to be by my side when I become Hokage, and knowing what I know now, the fact that she didn't include herself in that statement, she knew what she was going to do all along, and I just wasn't picking up on the hints.

I was too naïve.

My clones helped me withstand Pains attack, they all disappeared one by one, leaving the last two on each side of me, them helping me make a Rasengan.

"Look, Pain, just give up on trying to make me give up" I yelled at my clones lauched me toward the man, sending my flying at a good enough speed to beat the five second interval

"Rasengan" I yelled as I pushed it into his stomach, me and him flying back

'For y/n, for everyone' I thought to myself
