Kakashi's POV

Everyone was waiting for the information from Jiraiya who was explaining everything to Tsuande, having finally come out of his place.

Everything was pretty peaceful, children running around, the sun shining, but something in my stomach told me, this wouldn't last long.

Just as I was about to continue my walking an explosion was heard, building shaking and some collapsing in puffs of smoke.

'I have no doubt, it's Pain' I thought to myself as I ran into action, trying to find any familiar face

Running through the village I jumped over rubble and not too far way I could see Iruka, but Someone in an Ataksuki cloak landing in front of him with orange hair.

'That must be pain' I thought as I ran faster, seeing he was going to stab Iruka, quickly grabbing a hold of the rob before he could stab him.

I glared at the man as we met eye to eyes, this was who killed y/n, who killed my daughter, and he has the nerve to show his face in a village full of people who want his head.

"You create a loud diversion so you can hunt from the shadows, huh?" I asked him

"Kakashi" Iruka said in shock

"Take that injured man and go, leave this to me" I told Iruka, not taking my eye off of the man in front of me

"Roger, right away" Iruka said as he picked the man up, jumping to safety

"Now it's just the two of us" I said straighten my stance

"Then I shall ask you instead, where is the Nine Tails?" Pain asked me

"What you're doing is totally pointless, you know?, the people here are different than the ones in other villages" I said as I looked him down

"Even if it means dying, there's not a single one of us, who'd ever sell out a comrade" I said as a bead of sweat developed on my forehead

And with that I broke the rod I held in my hand, the man going to kick me which I swiftly dodged by crouching down

"Earth style: Mud wall" I yelled as I did the hands signal slamming my hands into the ground, the mud wall coming up, dog faces on it

Pain looked at the wall then to me, pulling his hand back he made another rod, piercing it through my shoulder.

"Lighting blade" I yelled, I was about to hit him with it but the Rinnegan made itself know, every move I made to stab him it was all I saw which made me miss him and he dodged

"What was that?" I asked

"The copy ninja Kakashi Hatake, I am honored to meet you" Pain said to me

I removed the rod from my shoulder, moving back to make some distance, staring at the man.

"Where is the Nine Tails?" He asked me again

"That's a stupid question" I said as I charged up another lighting blade, jumping to attack him, only for him to use the Rinnegan to throw me back, destroy my mud wall in the process

I made impact with a build, landing me under some wood that I pushed out of the way, standing up, looking at the man who still stood in the same position.

'What was that jutsu?, it felt diff from a blast wave but there definitely a blast area, with him at the epicenter' I thought to myself as I made my way back down, landing on my knees and one of my hands

'All right, then, how will you counter this?' I thought to my as I shot a lighting beast at him which he repelled

'So he can repel both physical attacks and ninjuts?, impressive" I thought to myself
